This is where the cut occurred, from what Frank W. called a purposeful elbow. Smakići refutes that, saying it was a clean punch.

Idk, to me, despite the video quality being "square root of potato", it definitely seems like it could be just a left uppercut. Maybe on the follow-through you could argue for some of Smakići's forearm grinding against Fury's orbital bone area, but IMO given the location of the laceration that angle makes it unlikely that his elbow could have slid under the rim of Fury's headgear. We're talking Luke shooting on the Deathstar.

If you're asking yourself "who the is hell Agron Smakići??" - he's a six-foot-six Croatian southpaw glass cannon. He's fought exactly two names you've heard of in the pros (Kossobutskiy and Kabayel) and both of them stopped him early.

Let's leave the matters of "was it intentionally inflicted injury on Smakići's part?" and "did Fury's camp pay him to sabotage the fight and bail Fury out of having to fight Usyk?" to the threads that have been growing like bacteria in a petri dish on those subjects. Strictly speaking on what made the impact in here - knuckle pads or joint.

That same Smakici has a devastating left, it came in handy for Fury to get out of the fight..

I've seen media outlets - IMO not very responsibly - report that the video "appears to back up what Warren was saying". In no way does it do that. I can't say definitively that it was a punch and not an elbow, but that is my leaning based on what my own eyes tell me. If there was maybe a shot from reverse perspective in 4k then it could settle the issue, but AFAIK there isn't. So we're stuck with this, which is less than ideal and can be called murky evidence at best.

to me clearly a clean left hook which is coming from the waist which might have followed through with an elbow. Not that it matters.

Them leaking this ugly sparring is a bigger deal than the cut itself.

    "Good check hook"

I see now why Wlad didn't hire Sugar Hill Steward. The check hook didn't land but the cupping forearm to grab the sparring partner did. LOL. Then Fury gets hit with the hook because he's busy trying to leave room to throw his very illegal uppercut holding the opponent's head.

Shane's reaction alone says it all.

Also Usyk is not getting caught and held from a position like that he will escape easily and keep boxing up a storm.

The fact that this thread made 42 minutes ago nearly tops the Google results for "Agron Smakići" says it all.

    It's inconclusive to me.

I tried cleaning up that footage with every little trick in my bag, and the resolution and quality is simply lacking.

I'm inclined to believe there's a good chance that some of the conspiracy theories regarding this cut/pullout are true.

I mean, he was just throwing an uppercut as Fury leaned in. If his elbow happened to make contact nothing in the view that we have suggests that it was his goal to do so. It wasn't like he threw an elbow strike MMA or Muay Thai style.

Say it was an accidental cut the question still remains on why they were doing heavy sparring so close to the fight date. Sparring like this always leave room for injury. The rough inside fighting could have cause a trip and twist an ankle ( an excuse Fury have used) or some other injury.

It is just so damn coincidental and any evidence was taken with the same camera that big foot was captured on.

Turki and Fury were together today, they silenced Usyk and Klimas in Ariel Helwani's interview. Something fishy is going on. They want Usyk out of the equation, they're aiming for Fury vs AJ.

Didn't silence anything. That is an investor looking after his investment. They have spent a ton of money on him. That is like saying a Hern invested fighter was with Hern collaborating with the story, that should clear any doubts.

This is from Agron Smakici himself:
"it was a clear punch so I don't feel bad."
Fury said that the injury was caused by an elbow (not an easy thing to land on someone as tall as the 6'8" Fury) but Smakici denied that, saying "Fury says a lot of things but he knows how the sparring was with me."

Did this guy suggest he kicked Fury *** or ?

The problem with this low video quality is, you can never be sure what it was. And that's probably why they give us such a "good" quality video. And then Fury fans start crying a river, when people are raising 100% legit questions.

The real question are not 2, but actually 3.

Was it an elbow or punch. Which actually is not big of a deal, and it's 100% Fury fault, as he was holding the guy behind the head, which is 100% illegal and was trying to land another illegal shot. So even if it was elbow, it's 100% deserved. The one that is dirty is Fury.
Obvious tactic, that the referee in the fight should 100% be aware of, otherwise blatant corruption. AJ also try this trick with Usyk a couple of times and was warned by the ref for it.

Next question is obvious the quality.

The third question is how the heck in such a big cut(from the given photo), when Fury wipes his eye with a white gloves, there wasn't any blood on the glove. Neither there seems to be blood flowing.

And finally why Fury didn't use a full face protector so close to the fight if he was going for a rough sparring's? Both Bary and Froch have raised this question. And even with the headgear Fury was using the chance for cut to happen is close to a zero.

This could 100% be all legit cut, but Fury didn't use any precautions and especially that close to the fight.
