Ahmed El Mousaoui born 03/31/1990 is a 5′11½ Welterweight with a 32-3-1 7 KO's record. Born in Zeghanghane, Rif Region, Morocco fighting out of Aulnay-sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, France. Ahmed is one of the most criminally underrated best all around fighters in the Welterweight Division, he's the very definition of the word solid. Arguably he should be undefeated, all three of the losses on his record are close and controversial. His first loss came at the age of 21 against Dieudonne Belinga via MD, not far from Belinga's home town. I haven't seen that one, so I don't know for sure, but I do know for sure, scorecards in France at times can be as questionable as the scorecards in Germany. His second loss came at the hands of the one & only Jeff Horn, and it was a scrappy somewhat grueling competitive match from beginning to end, arguably it should have been a draw with Ahmed constantly working in the clinches. His third loss was a straight up robbery against Spaniard Cerefino Rodriguez in Spain, he dropped Cerefino early and dominated much of the fight, especially late, sadly the ref ended up docking him two questionable points, which were decisive in him losing a SD, the three cards were 113-112 in his favor, 113-112 & 114-112 against. He's got a very sturdy set of whiskers, took Horn's shots very well throughout and to my knowledge he's never been down. He does everything well. He's decent on the backfoot, has a good jab, good defense, effective head movement, controls range very well, has a quality inside game, heavy enough hands to keep opponents honest, brings steady pressure on the front foot, a good straight right & throws some nice combinations. He isn't spectacular at anything, but good at everything. He's been on a real quality run since his robbery against Rodriguez Soundly beating tricky pain in the ass Carlos Molina, the same Molina that gave Lara hell, and several Russian fighters with decent records along the way. He's the epitome of one of those fighters where there's always usually going to be an argument that he won by the final bell. He's as top tier as top tier gets when it comes to European level, can he go any higher? Doubtful, Welterweight is fairly stacked. But him pulling an upset or two wouldn't be even vaguely shocking to me. Check Out Le Prince Du Rif in Action.:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg

OK, I've actually seen his name crop up numerous times before when doing my extensive research and scientific analysis.

Good read mate and spot on as usual,I've heard alot of trash said about Horns level of competition but it's no surprise to see top welterweights like El Moussasi and couple others continue to have success, not to mention how good Pacquios still is despite the narrative around Pacquio being a spent force when Horn beats him.

Also I forgot to add.... one of Ahmed's arm muscles blew out during the Horn fight, and he was still able t go the distance and remain competitive. That's just how tough he is.
