I think we should test it for years, on the sidelines. Do a trial run, and see after x amounts of fights and x amounts of time how well it does. Then figure out if it even should be ran instead of a human judge. Heck, we should have several companies competing and running trials at the same time. The sanctioning bodies and athletic commissions can then run the numbers and see if they are happy with the results. But if AI is used, then we should have more "10-10" rounds, as was common place before the 10 point must system.
Agreed. That's what I was thinking as well. They should test it on smaller fights first and run a data report on it to see how accurate and effective it is as a judge. It's far too early to be putting it to use on big event fights.
A stable of Pokémon like AI boxers could be created. There are people who will buy anything. Potentially a sensation.
I didn't see anything about the AI judge the entire event but with xmas stuff I may have missed it. Did the AI score any fights or did they bin the plan?
It scored the main event only as far as I'm aware. 118-112 for Usyk, so eight rounds for him, two for Fury and two even.
I actually think having the AI scorecard made the judging fairer, imagine if the AI has 118-112 and 1 judge has it 116-112 for Fury, serious questions would have been asked.
