Not had a chance to see him today, as have been very busy the past two days, but apparently it was really close and he performed well again. From everything i've seen of him, i think he's hands down the best Yafai, hopefully he can transition to the pros.

    C. Clarke lost a decision to the favourite, but Peter McGrail gets through a tough fight with a UD win, and guarantees another medal for himself. Pat McCormack wins a SD to also guarantee a medal.

McGrail & P. McCormack just keep on taking medals at these big tournaments, some resume those two have. Can't wait for them to turn over

Frazer Clarke and Ben Whittaker in to semi’s too.

But yeah McGrail and Pat Mc are the dogs bollocks. Expect them to turn over after Tokyo. Yafai is brilliant too.

Keyshawn beating Oumiha is a big deal.
Richard Torrez Jr got flatlined. Ouch.

Davis? that is a big deal, Oumiha is a huge talent, but then again Keyshawn also looks like one. Torrez Jr looks a good fighter, but was always going to be a tough, tough ask against Jalolov.

Idk about Torrez. I'm not high on his potential as a pro. The fights I've seen from him are really ugly. He also seems like a person with prospects outside of boxing.

With L. McCormack out, we have Davis, Cruz, and Bachkov alongside De Los Santos who beat Luke. Should be some stellar rematches there.

I’ve got no idea what has actually happened (corruption im sure has played its part), but Frazer Clarke’s decision win over the Russian has been overturned. The Russian is through, Frazer Clarke is out

    Absolutely disgraceful that.

Shock the Russian goes through on appeal in Russia.

    Also shocking is this.

I don’t find that that bad tbh. Torrez was probably in the wrong division, he looks more like a heavyweight. Jalolov fighting people in the pros well below what he’s probably used to, and having to re-adjust back to ams, has typically meant the pros coming back just get beat. This time the pro won

The overturn was definely corrupt, thought the fight could have gone either way.

I'm with you on this. They're fighting under AM rules against allegedly the best in the world, not sure what the problem is from Suliman

Peter McGrail apparently robbed in the semi-final against the Cuban Olympic & world medallist Lazaro Alvarez. He finishes the worlds with a bronze medal

Pat McCormack beats the Uzbek, and goes through to the final, with at least a silver guaranteed

I understand big Frazer Clarke is in the middle of an Olympic cycle but I don’t know how he can keep training so hard and making all these sacrifices when he could just get screwed again.

I wish him well because he seems like a top fella
