Bro thank you so much for the videos. Looks like Cuba isn't what it was before. What ever happened to Yasniel Toledo?
No problem. Cuba are doing good. Not sure what happened to Toledo, maybe he lost in the nationals or is injured?
Yes. Gutted Levit lost, and in yet another SD. It was so close and difficult to score that I'll have to watch it again to see if Savon really deserved it.
Anyone notice the Terence Crawford lookalike working the corner of the American fighters? He looked a dead ringer for him from certain angles Timestamped This content is protected
A round-up for those who haven't paid much attention... Several of the gold medal matches are set: Light Flyweight: Argilagos vs. Dusmatov Dusmatov won on every card against Martinez in the semi final, just as he did in last year’s Olympic final. Argilagos also won his semi unanimously. This was the expected final, but Dusmatov is yet to lose on a single card and will probably go in as slight favourite against the reigning champion. Bantamweight: Yeraliyev vs. Ragan With Shakur Stevenson turning pro and Robeisy Ramirez absent, this was an open field. Former world bronze medalist Yeraliyev is having a fine tournament so far, knocking out Olympic semi-finalist and world number 1 Murodjon Akhmadaliev in the second round. Young American Ragan knocked out the second seed Zhang and highly touted Cuban Ibanez to get here. Both men have only lost on one judge’s scorecard so far in four matches. Light Welterweight: Kholdarov vs. Cruz Gomez Another open field here, after Gaibnazarov turned pro, and both Sotomayor and Dunaytsev lost in their first bouts. The two highest seeds remaining, Bakhtov and Cruz Gomez, met in the semi-finals, with the latter winning 5-0. Kholdarov defeated Sotomayor’s conqueror Rojas and Rio semi-finalist Harutyunyan to book his place in the final. Middleweight: Amankul vs. Khyznhiak 20 year old Abilkhan Amankul has not only beaten the dominant Cuban Olympic champion Arlen Lopez, but also the next highest seed and Olympic semi-finalist Kamran Shakhsuvarly. He’s one of these games’ breakout stars – he’s only ranked 20th according to the AIBA site. 2017 European champion Khyzniak continued his good form on the other side of the draw, albeit against a somewhat tamer level of opposition. Heavyweight: Tischenko vs. Savón This one has followed the script. The top 2 in the world, the Olympic and World champions facing off in the final. Savon avenged his semi-final loss to Levit in Rio this time around, beating him in a tight 3-2 encounter. Tischenko's quarter final victory over Nyika has been hotly debated in this very thread.
