Never seen Nurmaganbet or Yevgeniy Pavlov (the other 4-0 local prospect in a supporting 10-rounder) but their opponents - Bruno Sandoval Núñez of Mexico and Isaac Sackey of Ghana - both are the kind you import to lose, if you have any faith in your prospect. Decent looking records with lots of padding at home. Not expecting upsets in either of those, and only giving Alleyne the same chance as the bookmakers (6/1), if that. He's alright ...tricky, rangy southpaw (with a couple of inches height and 6½" in reach on the Qazaq fighter) and may well survive twelve again, but winning is another matter. I just don't see the work rate in the Guyanese-Brooklynite. "барыс (The Snow Leopard)" isn't the beast he was hyped to be from the amateurs, but I still think he can physically impose himself and take a wide decision. Alleyne will need to have a game plan for his body attack, too, because standing in place to lean to his side and cover up with his arms high is going to be like dangling a big juicy steak in front of the leopard.

Strong possibility the Kazakhs go 3-0.

Oh and just saw 36 year old Namibian former WBO African cruiserweight titlist Vikapito "Beast Master" Meroro is in action as well...his chin was ruined by Kudryashov years ago, and he isn't a natural heavyweight, so this should be very easy work for Danila Semenov (who is only 3-0 but actually taking a step backward in class here, already having beaten Abraham Tabul).

Yeah, I thought Allen would be able to go the distance, especially considering he went the distance with Morrell and the fact that Yerbossynuly failed to stop some opponents that got stopped by fighters that aren't that great. But then there's the fact that Allen is 36 and hadn't fought in a year prior to this bout. Still quite impressive.

Kazakhstan is really announcing itself on the boxing scene. There's a middleweight who beat Brant in his last fight who'll definitely win a strap.
