Yeah I'd agree(missed 4-5 rounds and just went off IB's card) Thought Shakh won 3/5 from 8-12 though. Based on that 115-113 Rivera is my score.
No Aik-Al was worse, I could see how Solis-McDonnell could have been a draw, at least Jamie landed quite a lot of punches.
The Russian cards, I've noticed, are reasonably good for the high-profile international fights, but smaller bouts like this are plagued by home cooking.
So was Shakhnazaryan always such a puss or was it Troyanovsky icing him that led to his inner shrinking violet blooming?
I think its just that Rivera is really heavy handed, I've seen most of the footage of him that's available and while he's not that skilled and he's somewhat chinny, he packs a hell of a wallop. Aik was scared shitless of his power.
For the record, I picked Solis to beat McDonnell, so I'm not being biased here, sure Solis should have edged it, but a draw isn't out of the question, which is how I scored it, as far as this match, a draw was out of the question.
For anybody that missed it and is curious: Full doesn't appear to be up yet but the championship frames are. This content is protected (helps if you search under Shakh's name in Cyrillic: Айк Шахназарян)
