I'm going to be straddling this and @PinoyProdigy's Magsayo vs. Uthok RBR since the morning's primary attraction in that hemisphere (Horn vs. Zerafa) seems to be unwatchable outside Oz.

Honestly the Asian cards might both be better than the Aussie one anyway. "Might be" actually applies to the main events only, on second thought - the undercards are LIGHT YEARS beyond the garbage they're putting on down under.

Crazy finish in that one! Multiple knockdowns by each man, with the "Monster of Bagamoyo" running after the Chinese boxer and pounding him with right hands, only to have the tables turned and getting ping-ponged into every set of ropes with long whipping looping shots after tiring.

Li wins by TKO with just a few seconds left in a seriously bananas round that would have been a nightmare for most people to score.

 

Wuzhati Nuerlang vs. some pudgy Chinese kid (must be a last-minute substitute for Said Mbelwa), 4 rounds @ light welterweight

 

Another batshit sequence... Nuerlang walks into a short uppercut on the bottom of his jaw and goes down, but gets up and dominates the rest of the way, and drops Some Pudgy Chinese Kid and sends him to his stool with a defeated expression on his bloodied face.

 

Fairly easy second for Nuerlang.

 

SPCK quits between rounds, clutching the ropes and blubbering at his corner that he doesn't want to. Yes, crying like a baby.

Yu Che Li vs. Qiang Ma, 8 rounds @ featherweight

 

This is for the vacant WBO Greater China featherweight title. Li previously vied for this belt in 2017, and fought to a draw with Da Xu.

 

Li should be a southpaw per BoxRec, yet so far both men are fighting orthodox.

 

Ma is a live underdog, I think he took R1 applying some intense nonstop pressure...although Li clearly has the ability to smoothly outbox him from a distance when he puts his mind to it.

 

Li has the 1-2 dialed in, not allowing Ma to machete his way inside with those diagonally slashing uppercuts from either hip to Li's opposite shoulder anymore, that brought him so much success in the opener. Li has taken his measure now and is landing crisp jabs while turning Ma, then cranking up the heat pressing in behind the 1-2. Ma has some moments of SERIOUS trouble, but hangs in there and keeps flurrying even as 90% of his shots just churn the air.
