Say he stops Johnson, then what? And where will he stand (rankings-wise) by the end of the year?

So he fought 7 times this year so let's say next year he fights 5 times ideally something like this would be good....
    Johnson
    Pianeta
    Browne
    Thompson
    Charr

I don't think he'll stop Johnson and to be honest he needs rounds in the bank so that's a good fight for him.

If he faces all of those guys and stops them that's a brilliant feat and a really good résumé for someone of his level.

Too much of an ask I think for a year, but that would be incredible progress.
Knock Thompson and Charr off the list and add some domestic fights. Perhaps Chisora, and then it's looking more realistic. Would love to see a Charr or Thompson fight towards the end of the year though :thumbsup

Get him in with Price before Thompson imo

I don't think he will be anywhere near as active in 2015 due to the step up in competition but I can see him fighting-
    Johnson
    Leapai
    Hammer
    Scott
    Chisora
That would be the fights I would put him in but I have a strong feeling you will see him fighting David Price at some point next year. I feel its unlikely that we will see him fight Scott because there is nothing to gain really in that he has been KO'd in the 1st by Wilder but I feel its another style for him to face.

I'd rather not see chisora become one of the bum of the month club, hopefully he has another go at the big time as there are some really good fights out there for him, chisora vs browne would be good fun!

I'd like to see Joshua vs Hammer and see how good Joshua really is.

    Christian Hammer - April
    Dillian Whyte - August
    Alexander Ustinov - November

I'd have thought he would personally want to win the Lonsdale belt so something along the lines of Cornish, Whyte and Chisora with Hammer and Ustinov or Charr mixed in.

If he does go British title route we might see
    Joshua vs Johnson
Joshua vs Cornish for British title
    Joshua vs Rogan first defence
    Joshua vs Towers second defence
Joshua vs Chisora to win Lonsdale belt outright
Then big step ups in 2016 and hopefully onto world honours in 2017

I don't think we'll AJ going down the British title route and no disrespect to Cornish or Rogan but those fights don't do too much for him.

I'd see him dismantling Towers as well.

I agree, he's above british level and should be aiming higher, Johnson is a good move, 2015 should be against durable people if he's stopping them then move him up. Price still ain't sorted his own troubles out yet so I doubt they would put him in with AJ

He should be fighting guys who were world level (or bordering on) a couple of years ago but would still provide a decent test. Either guys who can take him 8+ rounds or test his chin. I would put him in three or four times in 2015 after the Johnson fight:

Denis Boystov, decent power and AJ needs to get use to fighting Russian/Eastern European fighters.

Edmund Gerber, taller than Boystov and would force AJ to think a bit more about the variety of his punches.

Eddie Chambers, dynamic style and has Wlad experience.

David Price, would be a big fight and Price is arguably the biggest puncher in the division after Wlad.

Four fights in one year against higher level opponents is maybe a tad unrealistic and with the British Title probably being available soon you might see him in there with a Towers level of fighter if Chisora retires which would not help AJ progress.
