I really hope so. My only reservation about Povetkin is that he has been very pusillanimous in the build up. Made a thread about this in General:

    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...the-only-thing-that-makes-me-doubtful.615397/

The way he comes out in the first round will tell us all we need to know. If the Povetkin I'm expecting shows up he has a really solid chance of knocking out Joshua.

povetkin gonna get destroyed. I dunno why any of you actually think he has a chance..the klitchko fight proved everything we needed to know about his ceiling :risas3:

I dont think anyone has ever said 2017 klitschko was the "best ever" like I'd be mildly surprised if you can supply one example.

Klitschko was very motivated but he was old no doubt, still a top heavyweight in the current era though

As for Ortiz the issue with him is he has one good win over a failed contender and that's his entire career.

He has to blitz him with combinations, speed and movement. Get round his guard and catch him cold, don't let him find any rhythm and when he hurts Joshua, which I'm sure he will, be ruthless. If Joshua finds a rhythm early with the jab then it's Parker all over again.

Don’t see Povetkin causing too much trouble. AJ by comfortable decision or stoppage from round 9 onwards.

Povetkin is going to bring it. We know Joshua can be hurt. I’d give him a decent chance but expect Joshua to win on points.

The bloke has a chin and has lost is it 1 fight. Will cause AJ problems.I'd say more like 30-40 %

Both the same really, getting brutally stopped by an past it older man.

Back in the day Moorer would have knocked Joshua out too.

I do yeah. Them hooks he throws from low could cause Joshua serious problems. With Joseph Parker I knew AJ would win, there weren’t a doubt in my mind. I knew Parker had nothing to trouble him. With Povetkin he’s certainly got the arsenal to trouble him but has Father Time got him?

He was winning 4-2 on most cards. Were you laughing then? Credit the guy for coming to fight.

So you still think Joshua regrets taking the fight?!
