“Being world champion, with all those knockouts, you do feel kind of unstoppable. But realistically, in boxing terms, I’m way ahead of where I should be. I’m working at such a quick pace. I shouldn’t even be in a position where I’m mentioned in Tyson Fury’s era. He’s five or six years ahead of me in terms of turning professional. In fact, when he was turning pro, I was just putting on my gloves for the first time.” Tyson Fury: 32 years old Started boxing as an amateur at 16 years old in 2005 31-4 (amateur record ) Turned pro in 2008 at 20 years old 30-0 (Pro record) 2 years inactive 2016-2018 Total fights: 65 ~13 years of experience (deduct 2 years inactivity) Anthony Joshua: 30 years old Started boxing as an amateur at 18 years old in 2007 40-3 (amatuer record & gifted gold) Turned pro in 2013 at 23 years old 23-1 (Pro record) Total fights: 67 ~13 years of expierance Does this man really have the right to claim Fury is a "different era" a weak sauce excuse for when he loses? Then trys to silver coat it by saying he has progressed extremely fast for his "short" career. Which is nonsense because Fury improves more over 1 fight than AJ can in a lifetime. I think this is a mental crack that Fury will eat up. Meanwhile in 2008 before Fury turned pro he was talking about how he could beat Wlad lol...not "ooo he is too far ahead of me"
Yeah it does sound a little soft at this moment in time. You would think AJ would be a little more "Fury is getting battered" not start whining about experience and being years behind him. I personally don't think Fury Vs AJ happens any time soon, I don't think Hearn and AJ really want it. They said all the same stuff with Wilder, they said they made offers, sent emails, agreed terms, then they hadn't heard anything, Hearn didn't know wether to deal with Finkel or Haymon (doing the same again with Warren and Arum). All being said again with Fury, Warren and Arum. It all sounds so familiar to me, I honestly believed AJ Vs Wilder didn't happen because of both teams and still sort of hold that belief but I'm now starting to think it might just be Hearn and AJ. It's the same MO, every time, with other Hearn fighters too. We hear the same old, same old. And then Fury goes and makes a three fight deal with Wilder, fights him in the US and backs up his claims, if Fury could do it, why couldn't the biggest promoter and apparent biggest star in world boxing? Also, don't know if you noticed but FW offered Hearn these cross over fights, Hearn was all for some of them, said he would meet FW and maybe a few could be made, it made sense Andy all the other crap he talks. Well, Fury has now said if Wilder don't want it, then we can do Fury Vs AJ in December, FW has said it, they seem very keen and now all of a sudden Hearn isn't going to help out FW, isn't sure why he should help out a rival, pick him off the floor.. all very convenient isn't it.
You’re forgetting Fury has always been a gym rat. He’s been training since he was a kid. Only reason he couldn’t get an amateur fight before 16 because he was way too big for boys his age. Was probably 6ft2 and 14 stone at 13 years old. And yes AJ is right. Fury made his pro debut around the time AJ first took up boxing. He’s not making any excuses he’s simply pointing out facts.
I only read the top part because I’m lazy but AJ has said recently he’ll stop Fury inside 6 rounds. He’s confident don’t worry.
Saying different era is just stupid.. They're fighting in the same era ffs.. It's just a typical half a brain fighter thing to say isn't it, they aren't the brightest most of the time. Fury obviously has more fighting experience than aj but definitely not in a different era, soft lad. Lol
Didn't he gain immeasurable career momentum from a fraudulent gold medal? He's been the A side since he laced them up but still finds time to complain about a disadvantage LOL Do folks realize how badly Fury has to outbox him to get a decision?
He’s not gonna outbox him badly it’ll be competitive. Out of the two of them Fury is the only one to given a gift decision in their career after being convincing outboxed. Also 2 fights ago he was fortunate enough to not be stopped because of the cut which was more than bad enough to warrant a TKO loss. Fury also has Arum and ESPN backing him who aren’t innocent themselves of suspect decisions like the one last week. Keep crying about Joshua being protected haha.
There’s nothing to fear about Fury. AJ has fought more dangerous powerful heavyweights. Worst case scenario is AJ loses on points. Wallin showed his weaknesses and AJ will look to capitalise on that. AJ is more that confident he can beat Fury.
You guys hate AJ so much that anything he does, you make it into something bad hahah. Get over yourselves. Fury is a steroid cheating con man and he will get KOed by AJ or one of a number of top ten guys... if he ever steps up and fights them. Instead he fights the Sefaris, Wallins and Schwarzs of the division. Yet you idiots swear he is the top guy hahahaha. Based off 2 wins alone. His fall will be bigger and swifter than twerking Wilder
