Everybody keeps asking where this 50 million is coming from but its not 50 million, that figure is just for Joshua, Wilder has also gotta get paid and literally everything else that needs to be paid for. This is going to cost about 140 million. Al Haymon willing to put that in knowing there is very little chance he gets any more than half of that back from the event? Maybe, maybe not but these are crazy numbers certainly not based on what are realisticlly acheivable.

Hearn may be playing down what the fight makes in the UK to lowball Wilder a bit but the offer he gave was within the boundries of what can realistically be made in revenue from the event. He probably has a fair idea how much it makes in the USA too.

Anybody who is saying he should sign this contract blind can they say how he is getting paid his 50 million? All in one or a dollar a week maybe? Where is the fight? When is the fight? What gloves is he being made to wear? Does he have to walk out to In the Navy by the Village people and have to wear pink shorts? What the hell is it in that contract they dont want him to see?

WOW. Just wow. How much absolute BS can be contained on a single thread? I tried to start from page 1, managed to get just into page 3 and had to stop, my eyes and brain were hurting hard.

Can one of these deluded people who think Wilder and his team of clowns have all the money and are calling all the shots answer me this very simple question please?

If that is the case, WHY is Wilder making (relative) peanuts in comparison to AJ? It's a very simple question which should allow for a very simple answer. Literally a one liner is all that's required.

In fact don't bother, I'll answer it for you....it's because Wilder generates a FRACTION of the money AJ does. A FRACTION! Therefore any additional money that is there for team Wilder in a fight between him and AJ, is generated by or because of AJ. Whichever way you slice it, that's just how it is.
Otherwise, why did he make like $2 million USD fighting Ortiz while AJ is making 4 or 5 times that fighting the Molinas and Brazeales of the division? AJ filling out 70k+ attendances in sports stadiums while Wilder odes a tenth of that?

Some people are so far deluded it's untrue. Before anybody accuses me of being an AJ fanboy, just pull the other one because I couldn't really care less for AJ. When him and Wilder meet let the best man win, simple as that. I just can't help but comment when I see people talking absolute rubbish.

You have forgotten the imaginary PPV buys that Wilder generates as well as the imaginary record Las Vegas Gate receipts generates. Oh and don't forget all those commercial Sponsors Wilder attracts.

Hearn said it right yesterday. Wilder can sign for this fight without a care in the world. He doesn't have to worry about tv rights obligations worldwide, obligations to sponsors and commercial partners.

On the otherhand AJ does have these things which need to be taken into consideration before agreeing to any deal. He has contractual obligations that cant be breached so the only way to make sure that doesn't happen is by both parties talking to make the fight but as we saw last week the Wilder party doesn't want to talk. They care more about PR stunts.

Exactly. If Wilders 'offer' was legitimate then what's the problem with a draft contract for Hearn and AJ to look over? Hearn said repeatedly that if it was a genuine offer they would be interested. They were due to meet ANYWAY on the Friday which is what Hearn said all along. So how can anybody see the logic in a $50 mil email from Wilder 48 hours before the meeting is due, not prepared to even send a draft contract to be looked over and then cancel a meeting that had been pre arranged before this 'offer' was even dreamt up??
A smart man could probably look at such a scenario and think team Wilder did this so they had an excuse to cancel the meeting and jsut go ahead with a Breazele fight....

I'm sure Haymon could raise the funds but the PBC has lost much of it investment base.

I'm not some Hearn jockey, but seriously?????

You think Haymons made more money than matchroom.

    Froch v Bute, Groves1&2....

Those 3 fights alone sold more tickets, brought more PPVs, replays and US TV money than any 5 PBC fights combined unless you want to pretend like Haymon was money man for Pac May:duh:duh:duh

Listen, all that has happened is Wilder has made an offer, and Hearn has said they're interested and to meet to discuss it. Perfectly reasonable, in fact completely normal. How else would they do it, telepathy?

Since then, Wilder's team has cancelled meetings and ducked him.

    Draw your own conclusions.

No, but his next fight against Breazeale will no doubt be PPV based on the enormous interest this is going to draw.
