An eye for an eye? Bit old testament init? I don't expect Riddick would be in my presence long enough for me to beg. I expect to be happy with a glancing nod and a fist bump of some such similar nonsense because he's a world champion and I'm just some guy. I think you've missed the point, you're not meant to be in his debt because he was a really swell guy, you're meant to appreciate the good times he provided with his matches....I think.
Not an eye for an eye, my funds are limited in who I can help and so I'd rather help nice people than assholes. It's not 'revenge' at all. And it's not about begging - which ironically is what he is doing now - it's about whether or not he helped people when he had the means to do so. As for being in his debt for the entertainment he's provided - GTFOH with that ****. As we've already discussed he has already been more than fairly compensated for his time in the ring despite robbing us of the Lewis match up.
I'd love for both fighters to come into the ring in the 230s, Parker especially. Both men perform far better when they're lighter. Unfortunately they'll probably both weigh in as walking tanks and gas out half way through the sixth.
This. When Bowe retired years ago he should've downsized. Instead he splurged on big houses and expensive cars and borrowed money from his homes, to maintain his lifestyle with no regular income, which eventually put him into bankruptcy.
This. This is from an article in the New York Times. When he retired, Mr. Bowe was worth $15 million, he has said, and he spent it amply: on 10 houses, 26 cars, furs and diamonds, and accommodations and monthly allowances for his large family. The millennium, however, would bring bankruptcy, an expensive divorce, a comeback attempt and 18 months in prison for abduction and domestic violence. https://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/08/...ew-arena.html?referer=https://www.google.com/
Sounds a lot like what's going to happen to Wilder when he retires. Hard to feel sorry for these imbeciles, really.
Is this recent?..If it is he's got a bit of a cheek.Taken from the article....... “I don’t have as much money as I used to, but I’m fine,” he said. “If people want to help, they can send money to the Riddick Bowe Better Life Foundation,” he said wryly. Though his fortune has dissipated, Mr. Bowe said he earns enough from public appearances and has three homes: one in New York, one in New Jersey and one in Florida, where he spends most of his time with his wife and daughter.
It was widely reported that he’s the most tested boxer in the Matchroom stable and that he was tested 14 times in 10 days by various ADAs leading into the Klitschko fight. He’s tested weekly when out of camp by both WADA & UKADA, Just a legacy of being the highest regarded Heavy Weight in the world I guess, anyhow he’s clean unless you can prove differently. No, I thought not! Just another jealous loudmouth aren’t you.
WBA VADA testing wasn't mandatory until recently when WBA ruled for mandatory all year testing for top 15 boxers. I don't know when this ruling will actually take place but that have to be soon.
The WBA informed boxers and promoters on the 6th April according to the letter they sent out. But it's not mandatory until 2018. So it will be interesting to see which boxers are kicked from their rankings for the Jan 2018 rankings. As that would be a pretty clear indication they are doping. http://www.wbaboxing.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/FAIR-BOXING-Communication-to-Boxers.pdf
