Is there something I should know about ALA gym? it seems that the fighters there have lots of potential but have serious flaws that really cost them in the ring.

I'm not that familiar with their training methods but it seems like there is a bit of a difference with guys like AJ Banal and guys like Bernabe Concepcion.

I dont think that Bernabe is an ALA gym boxer. He's based near Metro Manila.

    AJ's an ALA boxer.

ALA Gym is based in the central Philippine islands.

What's nice with the ALA gym is that all of their young guys get taught a lot of solid boxing fundamentals from the start. And great training facilities too.

A lot of young boxers from other gyms seem to just be taught the very basics and then they let them learn about the other stuff by themselves, almost, inside the boxing ring.

Throw them into the lion's den.

Although I think ALA needs to have some more new trainers in there. OR they'll become like a cookiecutter kind of gym.

he should take a title fight now...he skills are there, all he needs is a good game plan that would cover up for his lack of stamina...get a title shot before the 118 prospects matures

i dunno. i'm still not convinced about Banal. i don't think he has the material to become a top fighter as he was KO'd by this concepcion guy when he stepped up in level to fight for a title. he could probably be a belt-holder in the future but nothing more.

i think it is probably bernabe concepcion who has what it takes to reach a higher level than just being a belt-holder. but as of now, it is clearly nonito donaire who is pac's successor.

what the heck is up with the Ref, he's counting like a ghost's chasing his arse....

Banal is good with one punch KO power, but he needs world class training and exposure. His feet were too wide apart, kinda reminds me of Boomboom Bautista, Z Gorres, and the other ALA boys, their styles and fighting stances are very similar, predictable...

P.I. has some good bantamweight prospects, it would be interesting but definitely brutal to see who's the best.Banal with Maraon, Porras and Magbanua and that kid from Luzon, Roberto Gonzales. I back Banal. I am a fan. but this will be brutal. One of these kids is getting hurt fo sure.
