AJ feels he needs a change so good for him. I just don't know if it will be enough to overcome The Master.

Great point. And sometimes that belief alone can make a difference. However in Holyfield's case and in hindsight it was never remotely borderline delusional. Holyfield was a completely different breed of dog compared to AJ, both mentally and physically. We're talking Apples &, Pears here.

In all honesty I just can't realistically see a way that AJ can win this, but some self belief either delusional or real, will help as far as his gas tank actually lasts.(?).There's a slim chance of him landing big and making it count.

AJ had a great offensive 3rd round with Pulev but failed to put him away. He then had to coast for the 4th due to his gas tank. If a similar thing kinda happens with Usyk then Usyk will absolutely capitalise on AJs spent gas tank. We'll then have AJ in all sorts of trouble, panicking and pulling funny faces and sticking his tongue out moments before the towel gets thrown in or the ref stops it.

It's a huge mountain for AJ to climb.

AJ is doing what Parker should have done 5 years ago.

Absolutely agree and very well put.

There were times during the mid rounds that even without throwing full on power punches Joshua hurt Usyk but he never pressed the advantage.

Joshua hurt Usyk with flim flam flicky arm punches, if he goes for power and brutality he may well end Usyk unbeaten record.

Clearly Joshua is just interviewing all these trainers so he can say he gave everyone a fair shot.

Everyone on this board knows who the #1 trainer in the sport is.

You guys have praised this trainer more than any trainer for more than a year.

Anthony Joshua's new trainer will be ...

    MARK BRELAND.

Parker should hire Mark Breland, too.

I got to the end and thought you were going to say... Tunde Ajayi

Anyway, Yeah, you're right, because "Dogs in the camp" just doesn't sound right.

It's better than keeping McCrack, but as others have pointed out, in order to make it a war AJ needs a good chin.

Part of his chinnyness is probably psychological.

I've always thought that regarding Fury, simply by virtue of the fact he doesn't believe he can get knocked out, he is less likely to get knocked out because there are fwer psychological hurdles to recovering from being hurt. AJ is the opposite, as far as I can tell he's convinced that if his head gets so much as tickled on the temple he's going down.

A new trainer might be able to help in this regard.

But part of me also says that perhaps McCrack knows AJ's limitations and might have good reason to think that AJ shouldn't box like Chisora (for example) because he's just physically not up to the punishment.

I favoured Usyk first time around, I'm still favouring him this time, but getting rid of McCrack at the very least gives Anthony "1D" Joshua some new ideas and another roll of the dice.

AJ had to dump his trainer, his training team, and is currently doing a tour of gyms in the US searching for a new trainer and is seeking and being offered advice by everyone and their dog on how to beat a little CW who so many gave no chance whatsoever to beat him, predicted was too small for the big boys despite him having previously toyed with a whole bunch of giant elite SHWs in the WSB, and who were utterly adamant AJ was going to KO him.

These are the lengths AJ has to go to try and gain victory over a little CW who outclassed him in his own backyard, on a deck that was heavily stacked against them in front of well over 60,000 of their opponent's fans despite said CW having been very inactive, only having fought twice in three years and only having fought one world class opponent during that time.

That first image reminds me of a cursed photo off old internet. "Share this to 10 people or your champ will die in his sleep".
