i would be more confident for ruiz if that shot to the top of the head NEVER occurred but it did which means it could be a very different fight
I mean that's a fair point but I also think AJ is overplaying the impact of that single blow to imply it defined the whole fight. He said in the rounds prior to the third, Ruiz couldn't live with his footwork. But Ruiz was moving AJ to the left from the get-go.
Honestly? I will have no idea until the first round. My concern for Ruiz is having hit the jackpot he's slipped into his comfort zone. He'd just had a fight before getting the late call-up to fight Joshua so he had two camps back-to-back. He's been living the good life since becoming world champ, so we'll see if that impacts. Location is important and if it's in the UK, I tentatively favour AJ. But like I say, if it's more of the same... it's the same result. I'm assuming Joshua knows this too and will adjust despite what he says in the vid.
