What's Wilder's PPV appeal in the US?

He drew like 4m or something on pbc right? I'd say with the right opponent more than GGG numbers. 150-250kish, compared to the 97k GGG sold. And keep in mind that UK ppvs are more than half the price of the US.

According to US boxing fans only American PPV numbers matter

I'm only half american, but the cost of the PPV has to be kept in mind.

Will Wilder vs. Szpillka be on PPV? It's Wilder's 4th title fight I assume he had a lot of time to build a big following stateside?

It's a shame Povetkin ducked him to fight a guy who came out of a 2 year retirement after getting schooled by Wlad to fight only bums and then Povetkin. Could have waited 2 more months to enforce that mando . Povetkin/Wilder might have done 200k ish. Maybe in april.

Will Wilder vs. Povetkin be on PPV? Has this been announced by HBO or Showtime?

Nobody in the USA even knows Wilder.

He is a fraud and when he finally decides to face a top-10 guy, he is getting knocked the f out.

wilder should be a draw /he has fought 2 defenses i think on free to air us tv although i living in england do not know if you pay foer cbs/nbc / i allways assumed yiou do not.

ppv is a con / you already pay for sports content channels and then they double charge.
best thing would be if boxers got tiny numbers and cable channels put them on regular tv and rthen millions would watch and boxing would get millions of new fans as well.

as it is ppv is for absolute boxing die hards and 1 particular boxer only groupies.

i see gilfoid/rob smith/wladimir s /aka virtually every name who writes eastside articles all 1 and the same man has put joshua numbers up on a new aerticle at 400k thats good for bank balance maybe but recognition wise 400k is the same as watch curling during the winter olympics .

You are confused. Maybe it was 40k ppvs or more likely it was on free TV. Wilder has never done ppv.

Surprising though considering hes a US HW champion with his 4th title defense coming up? Has this ever happened in US boxing history that a guy with 4 defenses has not been on PPV?
