It's good that he is staying active, but shouldn't he rest a bit more this time, as he is on 4 matches in the last 11 months or so.
July/August/September should be a good date.
And let's be real his next opponent 100% will be Hrgovic for the IBF title.

I think there should be a bare minimum of fights for boxers, otherwise they lose ranking. Unless there is injury. Same for the Champions.

Two fights should be the bare minimum in a year.

I hope AJ fights 3 time this year. Hrgovic is obviously going to be next, and i hope Zhang/Parker for the end of the year. And then target Fury fight next year.

To be fair to Hrgovic, the guy has an absolutely granite chin. He ate huge, huge bombs from Zhang, and he managed to stay on his feet, except for 1 occasion in the 1st round, which was more of a back to the head shot.

Also Hrgovic is not Ngannou. I would say AJ comfortable UD or late, late TKO.

Boxers should be fighting minimum 3-4 times a year. That should be mandatory imo, you shouldn’t be getting millions for fighting once or twice a year…only reason they do it is more fights = more risks…high risk should equal high reward

Great, exactly what I expect from a real fighting man like him. Hrgovic sounds like the logical fight, even though I don't think he really warrants a shot at Joshua right now. But if Hrgovic has to stand in for Fury when Fury pulls out again then someone like Parker or even Zhang coming off the loss might be acceptable. Hope it's not Whyte or someone useless like him.

Huge credit if he actually fights Hrgovic instead of waiting for Fury/Usyk.

Hrgovic will not benefit from his inactivity, he should have fought to be ready for Joshua...

Nobody can knock AJ for his activity and level of opponent if he actually fights Hrgovic in June.

IBF is stripping Usyk 100%. And unless they order someone else to fight Hrgovic. It will be Hrgovic - Joshua in the summer. And that fight prolly going to be in the Saudi, and if not, 100% in UK.
Currently the most deserving title contenders are AJ and Parker. This is it. They deserve it the most. Parker is tied with Zhang for a rematch though, so it's going to be AJ - Hrgovic in that i'm almost 100% certain.

I would of preferred he fight Hrgovic instead of Ngannou but better late than never.

Hope the fight happens, but I'm too cynical now to think it's that easy. But I guess there's no reason why it won't happen, Joshua is the cash cow and Hrgovic will make millions to face him and if he wins, well he will have catapulted himself into a position where the winner of Fury/Uysk has to face him in the eyes of everyone.

But I think Joshua will grind him down and stop him in the 2nd half of the fight.

He was saying half jokingly after the fight Eddie Hearn is always making his life difficult.

But I remember him complaining before the Ruiz fight about being tired and needing a break/rest because he had been too busy.

Si I agree they better don’t over extend him.

Career amateurs have dozens of fights per year even past age 30. You take some time off but if you take care of your body, top form is easily reachable for 12 rounds at least every 2 months, if no injury and bruises. Hell Hopkins was back in the gym on Monday even past age 40.
