AJ: "Fury ran for 12 rounds, stole Klitschko's titles. I don't respect that!"

Does anyone think this style will certainly hurt his brand or ppv buys? or is he so popular that he can fight this way and still get millions of viewers?
In terms of hyping a fight, Joshua is too respectful for me and his pre-fight talks are just not interesting, and this fighting style certainly isn't fun to watch. I hope he doesn't abandon the fighting style that made him a star, but I think the danger of another KO is already in his head.

Why was Fury’s and not AJ’s?

Fury's was against the most dominant heavyweight in history.

AJ's was against a disgusting slob and disgrace.

    Shocked you asked that

I don't think so for a few reasons. 1) AJ's popularity is past the tipping point that the casuals just want to support a winner. These casuals are football supporters who in a lot of cases support awful teams or even good ones that use boring tactics when facing teams of even or better skill. Stinking the joint out doesn't matter when the team is winning. 2) Joshua fights under a matchroom promotion. Like the Darts it's a great night out and a decent production. Sky commentary notwithstanding. 3) AJ is very heavy handed and is also very vulnerable when hit. Even on his bike it's compelling viewing to the end.

Maybe Fury didn’t respect being bounced up and down off the floor 4 times and getting stopped/quitting in the first fight.

Actually Fury was pretty sportive of AJ after the loss nex minute he wasn't so much but thats just Fury. Win or loss he still gets a huge UK fight eventually.

Wilder on the other hand watched millions of dollars disappear every time AJ spat out his mouth guard...

Anthony Joshua is a far more entertaining fighter to watch than Tyson Fury, even in last Saturday's fight.

Why do I get the feeling if Fury and Joshua fought now, they'd both spend three minutes in each of the 12 long rounds sprinting around the ring ... talking and insulting each other ... playing to the crowd ... holding their gloves behind their back daring the other to hit them ... pounding their chest ... and the winner of the round would be the guy who managed to land two jabs as opposed to one jab.

And then they'd insist on doing it again after a NINE MONTH break.

    Couple of posers.

Deontay Wilder is THE MAN at heavyweight surrounded by overly-sensitive, "can't handle stress," gotta run for my life and then insult people once I'm safely away ... boys.

Longest reigning champ in boxing. 11th straight WBC heavyweight title defense coming up.

Every "keep distance/stick and move" performance isn't the same. Wilder, for example, won the title from Stiverne doing just that but it was still a highly dominant performance. I'd say Fury gets a pass doing that because he was fighting an ATG with devastating power he can't match. AJ's performance against Ruiz in my opinion, although as far as scoring goes he won fair and square, was pathetic. The way he avoided contact at all costs, his overly cautious style, terrified face all the time, his body language while initiating clinches, coupled with the outrageous interventions of the referee (Luis Pabon). All these made it quite pathetic for AJ.

Joshua can't help that Ruiz didn't try and was happy to throw 10 short punches a round.
