It's a published public comment. People have been sued for less. Often.
I'm just stating it like it is.

What for simply saying it's your opinion someone's on gear.. :yikes

There obviously has been some legislation or threat of in the past though tbf, hence not being able to mention you know who's full name (silly old fart lol).

It's the way of things. And if you read the post I quoted it didn't even say it was an opinion. It's easy to cross the line into outright libel. If someone publicly accuses Joshua of doping then it's a libel and is actionable and potentially VERY expensive.

I'm not saying it's going to happen (I don't think it'd benefit Joshua's reputation to be seen reacting to this kind of taunt). I am saying that it CAN happen and these things DO happen, and IF it did then I guess this site is ****ed because I don't think they'll have the cash to pay. Low probability - high risk.

Remember that politician a year or two ago? Folks on Twitter were suggesting he was a paedo. He tracked them all down and made them pay (to charity, not to him - he's as rich as ****). It happens, and you don't want to be the one that it happens to.

Oh, and it wouldn't be just the site owners. Any lawyer worth his salt would come after the actual poster, too.

Nah. Not specific to any one poster.

I've made this point several times in recent years. If it ever goes down like I've described, nobody can say they weren't warned.

10/11lbs of body weight? yes, 10/11lbs on solid muscle? impossible.

Fair enough. We're living in a litigation happy era that's for sure, where it seems you can get sued for farting. :D

Which goes to show your paranoia is unwarranted if threads like these have been going on for years and nothing has been done about them.

I'd be happy to go to court to back my words and oust a roider.

It's only 3lbs per month and it's not even necessarily all muscle so could be more like 2 lbs per month spread over a massive frame when he's young enough to still be growing/filling out.

No you wouldn't. No evidence, no blood work, nothing but speculation based on the telly... you'd get crucified.

Like I said, it only has to happen once.

Personally I couldn't give a shxt about posters being sued

I'm just making the point that this thread isn't "banter" or anywhere close to banter

It's just people taking cheap shots at someone who's not on here to "laugh" along with the banter and give it back and take it on the chin

Banter is supposed to be two way as well as good natured

This is just one way character assassination - cheap shots and nothing even close to banter

So let's not pretend it is

Well I don't think he is so it's a point of discussion for me

Way too much to risk for him to do that. Would turn from hero to zero if he got caught.

A poster even came on here and reckons he took some kind of drugs after he could hurt in the fight as it's the only way he could have recovered that quick

Simply ain't happening. Would destroy him and Eddie Hearn together of anything like that was going on

I agree that people should be somewhat careful. Quick question, looking at AJ and how he has grown, especially his prominent midriff, do you have absolutely no doubt that his frame is entirely natural? 11lbs in 4 months of muscle and then looking more cut begs a question especially in a sport where the opponent could die as a result of possible doping.

I ask this in the climate of widespread doping across all sports. If he is being thoroughly tested for HGH, EPO etc. and they are keeping his bloodwork for future ****ysis then fair enough. There is currently a massive deficit in trust with regards to doping in sport and it is perfectly fair to pose questions regarding the unusual physique of an extremely prominent sportsman. It is for UKAD to respond in relation to AJ and others and produce the results of their tests and what they are testing for.
I believe it should be routine for all test results to be published across all sports so that there is at least a veneer of transparency. We would then be able to be assured that the testing was regular, robust and reliable. We would be able to see what an athlete's Testosterone, red blood cell count etc were for each test and would know what checks were being made for the likes of HGH and whether centrifugal tests (as an example) on bloods were being used.

I believe that all athletes should have publicly accessible Blood Data Passports. They are selling an image and this would do a lot to restore faith across all sports.

You are questioning the right of those who question the physique of a particular boxer but questions should be asked and answers should be given by UKAD and others especially in relation to combat sports.

Saw a cage fighter talking about using steroids on TV recently

He said he did it purely for vanity to look good but when he was fighting he stopped as it didn't give you strength or power you could actually use in the fight and was actually a disadvantage to him as a fighter to be on steroids

This wasn't a guy who was denying that he took steroids - he openly admitted he did but he was pointing out that steroids were no good if you want to be a fighter

    Was he wrong?
