Mike Tyson was loyal to Don King because Don was 'black' and 'spoke my language' and 'warned me against those crooked white guys in smart suits'.

Do any of these ring a bell, Deontay?

I want him to sign I really don’t care what Wilder makes if we get the fight. However if I put my business hat on like most fans on here like to do in regards to this situation then I have to say, why would Wilder take a flat fee of 15 mil when he stands to make more down the line. GGG turned down a flat fee of 10 mil and got 15mil. Pac turned down a flat fee of 40 mil and got 150 mil and McGregor turned down a flat fee of 50mil and got up to 100mil.

All roads for AJ lead back to wilder if he keeps winning coz it’s the biggest fight in the division, both are undefeated big punchers and both have casuals who know who they are.

If casuals knew who Wilder is, why is Wilder only making $1.5 million per fight?

Doesn't matter what Joshua has actually done, he's still somehow ducking the ****ing bum squad.

Wilder is getting same purses as Danny Garcia and Berto, that's like AJ and Frankie Gavin getting paid the same.

Because DW isn't fighting on ppv and boxing is just a cliche sport over in the US. It's not mainstream, hasn't really been since the 80's..

Aj is the only fighter that can break DW through to the world which would make him a ppv fighter.

He should make certain he gets the best deal possible to travel into AJ Backyard, because DW would need a ko to have a real shot at winning

Because he needs a well known dance partner like AJ. A lot of casuals didn’t know who GGG was until his name was linked to Canelo. History shows if you are the rival of a big name you stand to multiply your earnings exponentially in the ring.

Every one of those fighters you mentioned were known or at LEAST partially known to the casual fan, had held their own successful PPV cards and make well in excess of $1.5-2.1m per fight though, so you're comparing apples and oranges.

No way can you call 97k ppv sold successful imo. Wilder is more well known in the uk than GGG was imo. The truth is anyone who knows AJ has heard of Wilder, they know that is the big fight for AJ.

Whilst they are not willing to pay for Wilder ca someone else, Wilder fighting AJ will multiply what AJs doing atm because it’s two big names even if one is significant bigger than the other

I don't think Wilder should accept the flat fee, he at least deserves a split. But the difference between Wilder and Pac and GGG is unlike them Wilder actually agreed to the flat fee before changing his mind.

He agreed to be paid 15 mill, even asked for the contract to be drawn up to sign, but then delayed and refused to sign. Cold feet, change of heart, whatever, the fact he's asking 50/50 again puts us back at square one. Wilder's wasted everyone time by balking at the final hurdle.
