I think he'll retire if Fury beats him twice if at least one of those is a stoppage.
If he gets a win off of Fury he'll continue and if both losses are decisions he may continue.

It depends as to whether he keeps boxing legends like Martin, Povetkin, Takam, Pulev, Breazeale, Molina, Ruiz etc. All of these "top 10" (several of which are not even close, even) Steady Eddie's, in his back garden.

Also, there's no way he retires after boxing Fury once or twice. He will continue for at least another bout past that. He won't let Fury be the one to finish him off, even though he may do so in essence.

Terrible sign! A fighter in his prime should be thinking of taking over, who he is going to destroy next or the next big challenge, not retirement. Look for AJ to fold under any significant pressure. A few losses or bad performances and he may call it quits before 5 years.

Plenty of time to be undisputed, defend a few times, retire as king . Fury can box Wallin, Chisora, Wilder again in the mean time.

Every time he talks you can see he’s damaged mentally from the Ruiz loss. He knows he’s not the fighter he thought he was

Typical “I will retire by a certain time or age” stuff that I rarely take seriously.

Like Bernard Hopkins retiring before 40 because of the promise he made his mom, or Oscar De La Hoya retiring before 30 to become an architect. Or Roy Jones saying he would retire before his skills slipped.

Fightsrs always say that and then get used to the big paydays, adrenaline rush, routine, etc...

Haven't read every post here but just a few years ago I recall AJ saying he wanted to fight to when he's ~40.

Now he's saying he might call it at 36. What's his next forecast, I'm retiring at 32? :sisi2:
Like others have said, it's hard to take boxers predictions of when they're going to retire seriously. They might be among the worst athletes for hanging around too long among all sports.

If AJ fights Fury twice then he'll retire after those two defeats, so it couldn't be this year.

AJ will retire after losing to Fury (both first fight and rematch).

I think Joshua will be the Uk's biggest boxing promoter within the next 10 years.
    He'll overtake Eddie Hearn.

Tyson Fury will beat Joshua if they ever fight.
