Aj/Hearn Wilder offer is BS

So why the **** wouldn't he accept $12 million to take back to Alabama. If his purses now are so good in Alabama the money on offer from fighting AJ should be a no brainer.

 

Because that’s not how business is done mate- I think that’s just common sense. Why would anybody accept less money then they are worth that’s just ridiculous.

Even if Wilder wanted to degrade himself and accept it, serious business people like Haymon would never in a million years sign off on that/ he knows how much this fight could potentially generate

 

1. Hearn told Joshua he would make more in the States.
2. AT&T stadium, Dallas
Mayweather - Pac was at the MGM in front of 16,000. Mayweather's purse was estimated at £180,000,000.
Kell Brook boxed in front of 26,000 in Sheffield. Does that make his purse higher than Floyd's?

 

You forgot to add that Mayweather v Pacquiao sold over 4 mil ppv's

 

Of course Joshua would make even more money if he expanded into the American markets.
That's not even disputable.

 

AJ-Wilder needs to be built up in the US first before it becomes PPV/ Subject to a massive offer from Vegas to host it over there.

Mayweather - Pac was built up over money years of expectation as well. If Haymon and Hearn etc work together, they can fast track the fight to become a major event in the US in time for late 2018.

Let Wilder fight at Barclays again and get another exciting KO over say Breazeale. Let AJ fight Miller ideally or Povetkin in Barclays also.Do the chat shows/espn etc Hopefully he wins by impressive KO then I think it’s ready to go in Vegas.

 

This is the ideal scenario then a Wembley rematch in April/May 2019.But Hearn is such a condescending lier, he said in numerous IFL interviews their was no dates for Wembley in 2018, then out of the blue he says he has a date in September.I have my reservations, i also believe Hearn will move Joshua to HBO as his Showtime contract is up and Miller has been built up on HBO, he will create more unnecessary obstacles

 

In the ring after the Parker fight, AJ said he wasn't fighting Wilder in the States.
In a recent IFL interview, Hearn said AJ told him he wasn't fight Wilder in the States.

A few posts ago you where arguing that the money was in Vegas and that Hearn confirmed it- which i agree with but not until it’s built up. I don’t agree with the Mayweather comparison though, and Puroresu rightly pointed out that sold 4m + PPVs.

What AJ said the other day could be relevant or it may not be - if Vegas offer mega money to host it and the deal is right he will more than likely change his tune but let’s see.

 

The Mayweather point was in answer to the claim that boxing in England is the biggest earner.
The point about AJ saying he won't box Wilder in the States is in answer to the posts saying he will box Wilder in the States!

 

It won't be held in America until both guys actually have a profile in America. People ate not patient though, they want the fight now rather than see both fighters get built in America.

Some people seem to think just because its for the undisputed HW championship it sells gangbusters but it really doesn't work like that.

Wilder can't sell out the Barclay centre in NY yet people think this can go to Vegas now?

The casinos put up the money for fights when they know the high rollers will fly in to watch it. The only thing guaranteed right now is AJ will have a few thousands brits that would go to Vegas.

 

Yeah, it wouldn't make much sense Joshua debuted in the U.S. with such a big unification fight.
He should go over there and fight Miller or some bum like that first. Preferably around the same time Wilder fights next.
They could even fight a double header, but somehow I think the various splits on that would be impossible to negotiate ! LOL
