That's actually a really good attitude for any boxer to have. The alternative is to be like Wilder, resolutely refusing to learn any new skills until it's too late.
I'd say he's more likely to face Fury now than he was when he was still champion and had everything to lose. It's a much more winnable fight for him due to Fury's sloppiness and tendency to be hurt. Against Usyk he has a very slim chance to ever win that.
It is a good attitude but he's sort of cast himself as a novice even after the Usyk fight. I get the feeling he doesn't know what type of fighter he should be- hence the search for a trainer.
Zero chance. He has no chance against Usyk. The gap in IQ and stamina is far too vast. I would've just stepped aside and got my confidence back via tune up but thats just me. The question is what pushes him to do this to himself ? He's mentally ruined and he's going right back into the fire made of paper The might be the first time in boxing history where a fighter doesn't even have a punchers chance. Even Dullian Shyte has a .02% punchers chance against Fury
That sounds pretty reasonable, not sure Fury would let him in though, Fury would be after 70/30 or something if AJ loses twice to Usyk and I don't think AJ would do it. Watch the board meltdown then, with both sides claiming a duck.
Joshua took the low risk route of fighting old short men with high blood pressure. He never wanted the top dogs
No they don`t, I went to a UK and it weren`t that great, AJ certainly didn`t go to any schools like these: 10 Outstanding British Public Schools To Consider | Tatler Asia
Screw Wilder, it`s clear he wasn`t elite, the stain on AJ`s career was getting out-boxed by Usyk who is bettder than Wilder and unbeaten.
It's funny how he kept crying about how much more experience Fury has than him and he had to step up "faster" now he's crying about retiring Such a fraud BUM BUM DOSSER
True. It's in the same ballpark as Lennox vs Bowe. Would have been nice if it had happened but what you gonna do when one of the dance partners isn't willing to step onto the floor?
Its an interesting observation though. British fighters dont seem to go broke as often as American fighters. I reckon its a cultural thing. A lot of American fighters seem to live Mayweather esque lifestyles whereas British fighters are far more frugal. Fury still lives in Morcambe and I'm pretty sure Joshua still lives in a little flat somewhere in Yorkshire. You never see British boxers posing in front of sports cars or private jets.
