He can be as skilled as he wants and as tall and ripped as he wants, but he's fought 1 guy in Breazeale who you can consider above D level and he lost, again it was an exciting fight.....but he lost.

His best win to date is Gregory Tony....what next....thats a great win?

He doesn't even have 19 fights yet anyone should see he would clearly be Ortiz biggest threat if they fought being longer than Ortiz and arguably harder puncher ...he's definatley faster.

So again how is it Izu would not rank up there with Ortizs opposition? So if Izu defeated Breazeale you would just say he beat a D level fighter.....your boxing math/logic only goes in circles.

At the end of the day its obvious only Jennings stands a chance against Izu and he would lose that fight.

Thompson even at his age has beaten better and been in with better opponents than Izu.

Malik Scott for as ordinary he is or can be has again beaten better quality of fighters than Izu has.

Jennings needs no explanation and even Barrett was beating better opposition at his stage in his career than that of Izu.

Listen, Izu may beat the fighters that I've mentioned but it's not "obvious" or a "fact" that he brushes through them....especially as he's NOT BEATEN ANYONE OF NOTE.

And for the record I'm on record saying that Ortiz for the hype he gets has yet to be truly tested opponent wise.

Ortiz is a top 3 HW based on he has never been close to losing or losing many rounds. We don't need a brain surgeon to see the giant southpaw is more dangerous than Povetkin is who you have ranked 2.

Jennings needs no explanation for what? He's hit his ceiling at HW and that's why his resume is thin....he even lost too Perez but they gave him a draw.

Izu is inactive is the only reason he is not ranked in top 20 but rankings don't change reality. He would easily be Ortiz best opponent if they were to fight , yes it is obvious if you look at the actual fighters which you don't.

Not many do which is why I was the only one on this forum who picked Breazeale over Izu at that time while everyone else was labeling him the Joshua destroyer....

 

Jennings didn't get a draw against Perez he got a win? That was a prime Perez too when he was dangerous. Jennings also beat Fedosov and Szpilka and gave Wlad a tough fight!!!!

 

But that Tony Thompson was coming in at 4-2, 2 wins a piece against Price and Solis, his 2 losses came against Takam and Pulev.

Infact that TT was coming in with a better resume of 6 fights than Izu as a career.
