No he needs to know what he`s doing while coming forward looking for the KO, Tyson was always hard to hit while scoring his KO`s with Rooney in his camp as was Hearns up till the mid 80`s.
It's the right game plan. AJ has shown he can come up with a strategy and stick to it. Wilder has let much lesser fighters linger around till the late rounds. If Wilder sleeps on AJ for 7 rounds like he did Ortiz, AJ has more than enough power to stop Wilder. AJ also has shown his power works both close and long range. Wilder only has long range power. AJ can keep inside he can stop Wilder.
AJ can go ahead and say he'll knock out Wilder in one for all we care. However, IF and when he does step in the ring with Wilder, he'll be deathly scared of Wilder's power and fight scared. He was deathly scared of a 289 lb Ruiz where AJ hugged Ruiz for dear life every time Ruiz got in close. That won't work against Wilder, who's fights from the outside and deadly accurate/lethal with that right hand. We'll never find out though, because its only a matter of time before AJ gets knocked out again by somebody else. Then Hearn can play the rematch game in Saudia Arabia again.
It's a pick 'em fight for two reasons. One, AJ has a suspect chin. Two, Wilder has big power in his right hand. AJ is the better technician. Better fundamentally, better in just about every way. But that doesn't matter with Wilder. If he lands on AJ it is all over. "Everyone has a plan until..." Iron Mike
Dont underrate AJs right hand Besides everyone has a plan until..you face Holys (twice) and Lewis...I would add.
No way, he`s fighting better people, Whyte really wan`t that good at that stage, they were both green then you could see that.
Vulnerable? Im convinced after Ruiz I and II AJ is stronger than before and he will face Wilder with the same determination and mental strenght shown with Klitschko.
And the Breazeale that Wilder fought wasn’t nearly as good, motivated or savvy, he so bad I still believe he was paid off like Stiverne
Taking a leaf out of Lewis's book and the right approach too. The more dangerous the fighter the less time you want to spend in the ring with them. Lewis wanted to take out Golota and Ruddock and he did in double-quick time. I think AJ will be very aggressive vs Wilder and it's not like he can't punch himself. Some of the shots he landed against Ruiz in both fights would have seriously troubled 95% of active heavyweights. Should be some fight, if it's ever made..
AJ isn’t Mike Tyson. What he is though is a more technical puncher than Wilder with a far more orthodox style. He needs to impose himself on Wilder or he will suffer the fate or all others who have pawed at Wilder and got sparked out
You might be correct about your prediction. Not howver abut Ruiz's weight. We was 283.7...With the footwear, sombrero, shirt & whatever he might have been hiding under it &/or in his pockets...seemingly trying to psyche out AJ & lul him into a false sense of security... But he was much too fat either way. 235 likely would be ideal.
