I'm willing to bet AJ is approaching this fight carefully because he knows his limitations late in fights and Usyk is the type to make you look bad. Can Usyk take the punches though? We'll see but interesting clash of sizes and styles.
At 44:14 in the video below, Parker stuns AJ with a right uppercut, but he hesitates and doesn't go for the kill. A missed opportunity. This content is protected
That really is a loose definition of "stuns". For me stuns is the what Joyce did to Takam where he was visibility hurt after one shot. I don't know. I guess I'm stunned you think that is stuns. It was a good shot but it didn't really look like AJ was in any real trouble.
he wasnt hurt at all. he got hit while shifting weight and got froze mid step. he proceeded to move with perfect balance, even bouncing on toes a bit, immediately after. parker knew he hadnt connected anything of consequence, he can feel the impacts when he lands, thats why he backs up as aj keep shortening the distance on him.
He was stunned INDEED. He was defenceless for 3-4 seconds there and he was trying to pull himself together. If it was Ruiz or Ortiz instead of Parker, they would go for the kill and KTFO him. Ruiz Jr has that killing instinct, Parker doesn't.
if thats what it takes for you to call a fighter stunned, or hurt, then fighters get hurt at least 30 times a fight. low estimate. i honestly find this pretty ridiculous. not sure if its a misuse of an adjective, or just lack of fighting knowledge or experience, but he was not hurt, and both fighters knew it. but believe what you want, im just offering my take based on my experience. ive read yours.
all of them. fighters get hit in a fight, harder than that punch were talking about, multiple times a round, usually. its a fight. were talking like it was some beautiful uppercut thrown with leverage and right on the button. he snuck a punch in and the fight went right back to its natural flow afterwards. nothing to see there.
Usyk is the most skilled heavyweight in the world, AJ ain`t breaking through any guard and will be missing tons of shots, Usyk on points he`s the best heavyweight in the world.
I don`t he`ll knock AJ but he is the better combo puncher, AJ`s power will have more effect on Usyk than Usyk`s will have on AJ.
Usyk is the undisputed Cruiserweight champ who fought the best all away from home and should be top 2 P4P with his Ukrainian little buddy. He will be ready for HW as Holyfield was, just without the huge head and the moniker of Mr Fields.
No, AJ`s legs were fine after, he just momentarily stunned him, Usyk is more skilled than Parker though and AJ didn`t look great in this fight.
