He needs to spar against someone that fights like Ruiz. If that is the reason he picked the sparing partner, based on look instead of skill, he is ******ed.
I agree but he has also stated he doesn`t like fighting much shorter opponents so maybe that`s his logic, but if so it`s pretty basic, he is also sparring with Derek Chisora though, which is a pretty good idea by comparison.
Everyone needs to calm the f**k down about Ruiz. He was a mid-level heavyweight before and still is now. If Joshua can't beat him this time then he truly needs to retire.
Sparring someone that only resembles Ruiz could have the opposite intended effect. If Joshua is used to having his way with a sparring partner, and then as result regains a false sense of assurance, the reality of actually facing Ruiz could prove demoralizing.
I really do applaud Anthony for seriously preparing for the champion in the up coming rematch, that tactic is a step in the right direction. He should be well prepared,mentally and physically. If he stays focused, and does not look past Ruiz, then he should have no problem regaining his belt, and proving all of us wrong. Also improve his defense and movement.
