I’m not impressed by Joshua “selling his fights all over the world” without seeing actual viewing figures. Fair enough if he’s getting lots of viewers in various countries. I doubt it however. What are the actual tv rights figures too? If he’s selling the rights for peanuts and then a couple thousand people tune in, who the **** cares?

Joshua has to fight Povetkin in Russia and Wilder in America in a 24 hour period.

Should he win both, he's then allowed an 8 hour rest before meeting Tyson, Hughie and Big John Fury, in a 3 on 1 handicap match at a caravan park in Manchester.

I guessed the split would be a problem. Well, not really a guess, as Eddie Hearn said that if Joshua beats Parker that Wilder would be looking at a worse deal, as Joshua would be bringing even more to the table.

You're wasting your time, I asked similar questions last night, raised the same sort of points.

You'll never get any answers because money and numbers are irrelevant now, it's "interest" and "potential" that counts.

Oh and the wishes of "casual" fans that apparently all know Wilder and want to see the fight.

And previous highest purse, previous highest live gate and previous highest PPV numbers are now "irrelevant".

You have to remember all these Wilder Fanboys are professional business men, they know what the fights worth, what Wilder is worth.. funnily enough quite a few of them were PED experts last month when Canelo failed his tests.

Oh and keep an eye out for "Golovkin ducking..." threads, again quite a few of them are part time promoters and lawyers too.

They are a multi talented bunch of hypocrites.

Do you not understand how boxing purses are generated?

Joshua wouldn't be earning 15-20 million per fight if he is 'selling the rights for peanuts'.

That’s just Hearn intentionally killing the fight.

Mate he’s earning this money on the back of the 80,000 stadium attendances and 1m+ buys within the UNITED KINGDOM.

If it is correct that Wilders biggest payday was $2.1mil against Ortiz then it is over 8 x more than his biggest payday if it is $17.75mil

    Nearly 8 and a 1/2 times

Im no expert but on the outside that does look a good offer

    Wrong.

They don't even cover 50% of the Joshua/Klitschko purses.

See this is where Wilder fans are killing themselves, when Wilder beat Ortiz that was a reason to increase his split according to Wilder fans, he was worth more after that fight apparently.

AJ beats another world champion, in another unification fight and that doesn't count and it is just "Hearn killing he fight"?

You can't have it both ways, nobody can, AJ fans can't either, it has to be viewed fairly and honestly.

Wilder's has been offered the largest purse in boxing history for a non PPV fighter.

    Let that sink in.....

It's up to Wilder if he accepts the offer.
If it's as great as people say it is, he should accept.

Let's be honest, he's not going to turn down an offer that's great without having a Plan B.
Wilder might be gambling on a plan B.

Wilder might be planning to stay where he is, with the WBC title, defending against WBC challengers, racking up defenses, for far less per fight.
For another few years. Wait for AJ to lose or for some new attraction to come along begging him for a fight.
Certainly that's a risky plan, financially.
But there are probably some historical examples of that working out.

    It's up to Wilder.
Everyone saying he needs to take the offer. It's his pocket, it's his bank account.
    It's up to him.

This type of logic is so dumb. What do you guys do for work? If you get promoted and your boss tells you it’s a good pay offer because it’s a pay increase but Bob and Dave in the floor above, who are working in the exact same role, are earning more because they used to earn more, are you going to just accept it like a *****?

Step into the real world. Pay should never be based on your previous pay.

A split, instead of a flat fee, would be the way to go, but let’s not kid ourselves, the split will not be 40%
