Hearn has siad in an interview that AJ may give up all his belts because mandatories are getting in the way of big money fights, AJ is simply ducking Usyk, which fighter can he fight that ids better than Usyk if he gives up the belts?

Fine go ahead and be bitches then. I hope AJ drops all his belts and then the new champs freeze him out of any title fight.

It would be petulant of him to just throw all the belts away in a hissy fit because he can't get his unification fight. Regardless of Usyk as mandatory it doesn't change the fact that Fury is contracted to fight Wilder.

I assume this is more a negotiating tactic with Usyk or a power play to let the sanctioning bodies know that Joshua isn't just going to be forced into mandatory after mandatory that could get in the way of an eventual fight with Fury.

Personally I think he should dump the belts and fight Usyk anyway and then Fury with no belts on the line. He's bigger than the belts and the money he generates doesn't require him to have a belt really as long as he keeps fighting the best, the fans will keep paying to see him.

    why would you say that?
imagine if AJ and fury snubbed their noses at the federations, it'd be a terrific precedent in a sport where corruption often comes down to belts being at stake.

first time i've really disagreed with you.
how brilliant would it be if fury and AJ said **** it and dropped the belts to make the fight?
i'd tip my hat to them both...but only if that was the reason.

Joshua can make voluntary defenses at his own pleasure. He wants them then go make them.

He should be stripped for such attitude. What do this fool Hearn mean he is tired ?

For fighting once a year ?

For fighting boxers past their prime ?

I really hope Usyk stops him and makes him cry in the middle of the ring.

Then the champs need to increase their activity in the ring. Fighting twice every three years isnt enough activity to make voluntary defenses.

It would be brilliant as I said while petulant it would also be the preferred move, the sanctioning bodies can go screw themselves.

Joshua won't lose any credibility dropping those belts. The credibility was already lost when he was defeated by Ruiz. Time to vacate and retire, the bomb squad and Arum have frozen him out.

Well Joshua needs to grow a pair and stop acting like a victim. We've all been affected by Covid. Not just him. If he doesnt want to fulfill his obligations then he can drop the belt.

And to be fair I don't really think Usyk has much to complain about either. As long as he gets at least 30 percent of the purse then he needs to just STFU and sign. Look, I know Usyk is an ATG Cruiserweight. But hes not the HW champ. Hes the mandatory to the champ. Big difference.

If AJ were to drop the belts he would seriously need his brain cells tested, i do not think he ever would do so.

Neither Fury or AJ would earn anywhere near the big money purses they to date have earned, if they gave up the titles.

AJ vs Fury without the titles would just be a UK domestic bout with a little international interest.

If Usyk is messing around wanting bigger share of purse above mandatory challenger set percentages then he will face a barrier, Usyk knows that so it is all just jive talk.

AJ is not ducking Usyk, why would he, he is mandatory challenger, if AJ dropped WBO belt he would look scared, which he is not, especially when he is up for fighting Fury who is a proven behemoth of a heavyweight who many believe will beat AJ.

Hearn can talk and say all he wants, i will believe AJ is willing to drop the belts when i hear it directly from him.
