Wouldn't be surprised if hearn some how gets out of this and sorts a fight with haye/wilder/fury on a big money potential cash out!
If you're gonna lose you might aswel lose in a big fight.

    Nope.

I think they will opt for Parker. Lots of reasons.

So they have about 7 months until they fight. That likely scuppers Hearns ideas of a fight in Nov or Dec but doesn't mean they couldn't fit in an easy defence earlier in the year.

But they might as well get Parker out of the way, better they fight him sooner rather than later as Parker is only going to get better if given time.

If the fight happens then I expect Joshua to stop Parker around the 8th or 9th round. Parker is too open, while he does have very quick hands I don't think he has the outside game or quickness of feet to avoid Joshua's big right hand. But you never know if Parker can consistently back AJ up and dictate how the fight is fought he could pull of the upset.

Ideal time for Joshua to fight Parker. Parker is still very raw - he is way too wide open and I can't see that being addressed in the next six months given the lack of improvement he has shown in that department as a pro.

AJ TKO in rounds 8-10 would be my pick.

decent? yes. Great? no. Takam Rocked Parker too, but just a pity he couldnt land a good straight right hand, but only cos he cant throw on without lunging forward with it. I'm only taking his last fight with Parker as an example though.....but thats all that matters isn't it? :deal:thumbsup:hat

Look at Parker against Takam and tell me Parker can do to Joshua what he failed miserably to do against Takam. We will find out just how deep the well is when these two go at it, and both the mystery and the hype surrounding these two will finally be gone. Parker has been a combination puncher against some very well chosen opponents that are there to showcase his speed and straight down the middle punching ability. That was absent for the most part against takam, and i can see AJ Taking away Parker's best attributes, just because of what I saw him practicing for against Breazeale. It was easy to see the trainers were guiding Joshua to fight a certain way, and to get more used punching and then moving his head after he punches. :hat

AJ KO for me, fairly comfortably with a couple of decent rounds for Parker.

If AJ smashes Parker is he still a hypejob at this stage? Just trying to clarify for the folk who say this "hypejob is getting smashed" before every fight.

Sorry, but I'm failing to see what's so special about Parker. AJ has a lot to prove still, but so far he's shown more to his game, the latest addition being a well placed, well timed strong jab. For me, Parker is going to struggle to get past the jab due to his shorter reach, slow feet and ZERO head movement.

Parker looks tough, but I just don't feel he'll be able to get past Joshua's jab or reach in general, so he's going to struggle to mount any kind of effective offense. He also doesn't appear to have any inside game to speak of or the stamina to put on a relentless type of pressure I think he'd need to negate AJ's size advantage.

Both are still relatively unproven, but I really do not see anything special in Parker. I could well be wrong, but looks like we'll find out soon enough. My money is on AJ, be it by domination on the cards or a mid to late rounds KO (rounds 7-9).

no and the same goes if it happens the other way around too. A loss is a lesson that needs to be learned from thats all. It does not mean they are useless in the least. It just means they were not able to win on that night thats all. Some recover from this kind of lesson, and some dont. The good old saying applies here too "you may lose the fight, but dont lose the lesson" :deal:thumbsup:hat

AJ shouldn't have any reservations here...he should fight him at the end of the year.

That's the LEAST i'd expect from a CHAMPION.
