The Takam win was a good win for Parker. It didn't go as some expected, Parker showed he isn't head and shoulders above everyone else but then he was fighting a world class heavy who gave Povetkin problems. Joshua has looked very impressive so far but against worse opposition, but that means he still has an aura of invincibility and endless potential. The Takam fight perhaps suggested Parker wasn't invincible or wasn't as good as some expected, it exposed flaws and made him look vulnerable. But Parker is young and will improve, did anyone expect Ali to beat Liston after being dropped by Cooper? It's easy to look invincible and look like a potential ATG when the opposition you face are clearly over matched.
Its just Parkers speed thats a concern and that could be the winning factor. Both guys can knockout anyone in the division even with a not-so-flush punch, these guys punch very hard but its the speed that if used effectively, will make Parker look really good. Joshua is IMO not as fast as Parker but still fast. AJs has the left hook and the cross and I see those, in that order, to be the ones to trouble Parker. I just heard on youtube Parker want to get it on in November and this surprised me. I thought Parker would want to get some rounds/fights in before his title shot as I assumed he isnt ready but I do admire his enthusiasim. I just hope its truly his decision and not his management rushing him.
Parker surely has to be better than those recent ameri-CANS, joshua probably thinks this boxing gig is a piece of cake
