Listen to the words from Joshua's mouth, which shows he is in no rush to get in the ring with Wilder.

Wilder gon bring Joshua out because he's talking too much smack. Joshua is a young man and his pride won't let him duck that challenge. He is gonna overrule Hearn and take the Wilder fight if he gets past Parker. I give him the edge over Wilder because he is more technically sound and there is no real advantage in reach or height for Wilder. If AJ stays within the framework of his technical skills and don't let Wilder take him out of his game then he has a good chance to stop Wilder. However, Wilder is unpredictable, faster and brings a bit more power to the table. If AJ can't contain that right hand then he's in for a short trip to the canvass.

From a business stand point making Joshua vs Miller is the right decision, that would make the Joshua vs Wilder fight bigger in the US.

How is that "words from his own mouth" when the whole clip is some guy interpreting something he heard and making assumptions about it? I wasn't expecting some guy on the internet explaining what he thinks Joshua meant to say, I was expecting, you know, an interview with Joshua where you could see the whole thing in context like this:

And you can draw your own conclusions from it. Some might say it show's he's reluctant to get in the ring with Wilder or not ready to, others might think it shows he's prepared to fight whenever but that he has other option and it isn't a priority for him - which it wasn't at the time of the interview because was negotiating with Parker for a unification fight as well.

Then tell Wilder to stop moaning and accept his role. He's the B-side in this equation, the sooner he realizes it the better.

Here are the quotes in full on when pressed on whether he will be ready for Wilder in 2018

You can twist it and perform mental gymnastics all you like, but if Wilder was coming out with this kind of guff he'd be called a ducker.

There is nothing in that statement to suggest that he is prepared or willing to fight Wilder any time soon.

Then you have Eddie Hearn throwing carrots at Wilder, telling him he has to fight Whyte first, then he has to change promoters then he has to pick up the phone etc etc.

When Khan was doing this kind of crap to Brook, he was called out for being a ducker. Telling brook he was must fight a big name first, then defend against Spence before he considers fighting him. And look the fight still hasn't been agreed.

Listen, it doesn't matter if he was scheduled to fight Parker as mandatory, he could have made the statement that after Parker it's definitely Wilder, but instead he used the 'he's been a pro longer than me' card.

He's afraid of Wilder, that's it. Nothing more. it's there in black and white and on video. Or are you waiting for AJ to go in front of the camera and say 'I'm **** scared of Wilder'?

AJ does the punching, Hearn does the number crunching, as long as AJ keeps it like that he will get richer and richer.

A Heavyweight boxer has enough on their hands preparing for and fighting the behemoth of an opponent in the opposing corner

So what. That was Wilder's first live body, although it was an 85 year old one, in years. Let Wilder beat Povetkin.

I’ll let the promoters and managers sort that out. If AJ’s side wants the fight they’ll actually negotiate.

Yeah...if you ignore the rest of that interview and dont show it in full context. Because he also said this:

Question: If AJ wins who would you pick next? Wilder at Wembley?

Joshua: ...you know what, right? This little devil on my shoulder the fighting man says Wilder at Wembly boom. And then this devil on my shoulder, the manager hat says what's best to guide my career? So it's playing devil's advocate and putting them together and seeing what works out best for my career.

    Question: so Wilder at Wembly?

Joshua: It depends. If it's pushed that way it has to happen and I just think, I'm gonna do things my way. If Wilder works we're gonna make it happen, if Wilder isn't the right opponent for next year [2018] then we'll put it back into 2019, but I'm just gonna do things my way. People just cant rush my career. That's one thing I've learnt; that I've got a career and I've got to map it out and I'm gonna take fights at the right time for me, and if it's next year or the year after or the year after when I fight him I'll be in a position to beat him.

Which implies he's prepared to fight him whenever but doesn't feel there's any hurry to do it, that if the fight's made this year he's prepared to take it but isn't that bothered if it doesn't work out until next year or the year after.

He's not scheduled to fight Parker as a mandatory - it's a unification fight against another organization's World Champion. It could have been Joshua/Wilder later this month because Hearns was negotiation with Wilder as well but Parker's camp was the one prepared to move on the terms to get the fight while Wilder's camp was not.

I am not a fan of any boxer being accused of being afraid of another.

Make no mistake, I think Wilder wants the fight far more than Joshua does, I think he's desperate to get it, but that doesn't mean Joshua is scared of Wilder. He had other options available that were easier fights to make and no less legitimate.

If the fight hasn't happened by 2020 and both of them as still world champion then, well, then I might be more open to considering this accusation but, as of right now, where Joshua has fought an all time great heavyweight and is only days away from having a unification fight with one of the division's other world champions then I dont give that accusation any credibility whatsoever.

LOL, I feel fairly certain right now saying that Fury ain't gonna have 3 or 4 more fights in his career, much less to "remove the cobwebs."

    Joshua vs Miller and Fury

    Wilder vs. Breazeale and Povetkin,

If both are still undefeated, Summer '19. I say LETS DO IT!

Well that added quote only reinforces the idea that he is non committed and stalling the fight . All I see are more excuses for ducking and why there is no confidence to press the fight. When he says he has to ''take fights at the right time'' that says to me he is looking to bide his time for when Wilder either loses, shows signs of weaknesses or gets old, before he can feel ready.

On top of this you had Eddie offering Whyte at Wilder as some sort of bargaining tool. It's completely ridiculous

''This little devil on my shoulder the fighting man says Wilder at Wembly boom. And then this devil on my shoulder, the manager hat says what's best to guide my career? ''

Listening to his manager who's agenda is to protect him? True Champions don't let their manager dictate who they fight.

You think Wilder's handlers wanted him to go any where near Ortiz after he got caught twice for roid use? I'm sure Wilder was told that there was no need to take such a unnecessary high risk low reward fight. Yet Wilder didn't listen, for he knew that for his own credibility , he had little choice but to fight a top 10 opponent to prove to his critics that he was the real deal.

Like I said before, if Joshua manages to beat Parker and doesn't fight Wilder next, then he is a certified false champion.

I don't mind seeing Josh fight a 300 lb. Rhino who never gets tired and a 6-9 300 trash-talking gypsy.

I don't mind Wilde giving Povetkin the paycheck he missed out on, and settling his hotel-lobby business with Breazeale!
