He deserves a shot more than Hughie.

Only because Haye gave up his mando position.

Who has Hughie ever beat ?

3 fights ago Hughie beat a guy who had lost 17 out of his last 18 fights (....and that win was just because the other fella was DQ'd)......and he has had one exhibition 'fight' since his drug suspension for failing a test.

Whether you like it or not, or whether people view it as valid or not.......3 fights ago Haye fought someone ranked top 10 by one of the alphabets.

Haye doesn't deserve a title shot. His last fight was a loss to Bellew.

Correct, he gave up his mandatory position, which was about as undeserved as Hughie's now. He gave up a generous ranking to take easy money farce fight with Bellew. That backfired.

Hughie's been lucky to keep his mandatory position too but what Haye did was really stupid.
Losing to Bellew erases any tenuous claim he had to fight for any title.

Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if the WBO somehow squeeze him back at the top after Parker and Hughie is settled.

Regardless Hughie remains 20-0 and has built up his ranking in the wbo so deserves his shot.... Haye lost to a cruiserweight and has not fought a real fight in years so of all people that deserve a shot he should be way down the list... The wbo is always questionable with there rankings Im sure I saw christian hammer ranked at 2!? The sooner someone unifies the wbo the better so we don't call Hughie, Parker or haye a world champion...

It's funny that Haye's fans would even want him in the ring with AJ at this stage of their careers. Haye would be destroyed brutally. A fight with the winner of Parker v Fury is probably a safer option but he'd lose.
All of this assuming the unlikely that he's ever fit to face a proper opponent again. He's completely done, let's face it.

Lets be honest neither Hughie or Haye deserve a title shot at this point.

    True.
They should be contesting the British title, along with Whyte and Chisora and Bellew.
Throw David Price back in the mix, and a couple of the new kids, and a Brit elimination series could be built.
But these days every fighter thinks they earned a "world title shot".

They need to get serious with Wlad now and set a deadline. We're only three months away from November and still no word from him. This is AJ's career we're talking about, Wlad needs to do something or get off the pot.

If AJ is fighting in November, he needs to know within the next week or two who he is fighting.

I imagine that all has been decided now and they are just getting contracts in place and waiting to announce...

However, it really sticks in my craw we have all been waiting for Wlad to make HIS mind up... the guy lost and Eddie Hearn and AJ are running round trying to get everything in order to satisfy Wlad.

I hope they are getting a much better deal of it the next fight... none of this 50/50 crap... Wlad is coming off 2 loses and is no longer the champion.

Before the first fight you could understand it just... he had only lost once and was still Wlad but now its clear AJ with the win is miles ahead of him and everyone else.

Miles ahead of Vlad in what way, AJ went life and death with him?

Miles ahead in terms of being the A side... point being AJ in terms of status and position in the division is ahead of Wlad.

He's coming off 2 back to back defeats, has no belts.
