But he didn't mate, Vlad turned the whole fight on its head with a huge left hook in the 5th. That's what changed the fight.

I don't mind the pulev fight either. I just think there is an opportunity to fight wilder in Vegas in November. If ibf strip him he takes the wbc anyway. He is also number 1 in the division if he wins that. I'm not counting fury. I can only count him if he comes out of retirement.

Wilder has no credibility. Look at his record.
AJ should fight him for the money and perhaps the belt, but beating him wont mean much.
The winner of Parker-H.Fury is actually more credible than Wilder, when people look back.

WBA has now ordered the Ortiz fight.

What happens in this situation of two fights being ordered at the same time. Please tell me Joshua is not forced to pick what title to give up, that would be a farce.

Sounds like someone at the WBA wants an Eddie Hearn brown envelope ... wouldn't expect it to be quite so public though!

Hearn has said the plan is Pulev, then Ortiz and then Wilder.

That is an excellent trilogy, imo

Brilliant trilogy. If he comes through all of those, then surely the final step would be whoever holds the WBO belt in a total unification megafight. I don't think any boxer in history has held the WBA, WBO, WBC, IBF and IBO all at the same time.

Wk certainly had a good round 5 and landed some decent left hands but up to round 5 had barely landed anything of note other than jabs with the left hand.
Even after the pile driver of a right hand in round 6 that puts him in the driving seat he still can't land the left hook at one point he had AJ on the ropes and throws 4 or 5 and only lands 1...maybe taking away was a bit strong but AJ was certainly aware of it and reduced its effectiveness.

Wilder doesn't have much in his arsenal - he is't stopping people with his left.
Just think AJ would have too much for him, with the caveat that he still has to find a way to deal with the right and not eat to many of them.

It doesn't matter to me as I exclusively only respect IBO belt holders

Eddie Hearn has already said that the pulev fight is signed... The man has been waiting a year and stepped aside twice. The WBA have ordered the mandatory with Ortiz but will be paid off under the agreement that AJ Ortiz will happen next fight after Pulev. Eddie wants to get Ortiz on the undercard of the pulev fight to build interest, none boxing fans and many casuals won't know much about Ortiz but I think that's an exciting fight! If AJ comes through this then the big u indication happens next summer/ autumn. Don't think any of the governing bodies will want to strip AJ as he is the biggest draw in HW division whether people like it or not. No noise from IBO clearly there just happy having a credible champion holding one of there belts! I personally think pulev Ortiz and wilder is a fantastic schedule for Joshua and can't wait... The Klitschko fight would have just delayed AJ journey...

The first 2 puddings are no threat and Wilder has a decent chance with speed and punch power.

If AJ had not fought Pulev next he would have had to vacate as Pulev has been paid step aside money for AJ last 2 fights. The IBF would not have agreed again. As for Ortiz this his his first instance so the wba will be given a "brown envelope" to allow AJ to keep the belt and Ortiz paid to keep quiet and accept it. I believe that the wba have said that if AJ comes through Pulev then Ortiz must be next regardless or AJ gets stripped. This will mean that once both mandatories are out the way AJ can set up a big summer fight with either the wbc or wbo champ to continue his quest to become undisputed champ, I would expect big US fight with wilder.... Eddie hearn recently said AJ will fight 3 times next year...

Pulev should just take a quick dive, take his money, then Joshua can fight Wilder in the next week or month? Why should Pulev waste his time getting knocked out when he can take a dive without getting hurt at all? Easy money, since boxing is corrupt it won't matter if the dive is obvious........................nobody wants to see that fight.............
