Great show for anyone that doesn't know it and a good format of interview, and Lauren Laverne does well to ask questions from a different angle. AJ's first disc is my favourite Bob Marley track. If anyone knows any other boxers that have been on please let me know.

At the end of the ep they mention they've had on Henry Cooper, Foreman and Bruno. All worth a listen.

That fela kuti tracked he picked is a good one!

I’ve been listening to desert island discs for years now, really enjoy it.

I remember around 2014 I think it was a British Olympic rower did one, I can’t recall his name but there were all 80s power ballads, loved it!

He also mentioned opening a care home for retired boxers which seems a great initiative; there are countless fighters who have suffered long term brain injuries from damage sustained in the ring, or early onset dementia most likely caused through boxing, and they are left to survive on whatever meagre support is offered through the NHS.
