"He" or his promotion. It's an important distinction to make. In reality Fury and Joshua won't have much to do with the thrashing out of the contracts - it'll be the bean counters. Not very exciting and doesn't play into the "Fighter X is 'scared' of Fighter Y" narrative - but that's how it is.
Don’t separate a fighter from his team. AJ with 258 Management, Matchroom/ Fast Car Eddy Hearn and Wilder with PBC/Al Haymon and Mayweather Promotions are the best teams in boxing. Wilder ,PBC/Al Haymon just inflicted a major defeat on Fury, Top Rank, Queensbury and MTK. I find the ineptness shocking as I had a higher regard for them before this embarrassment.
Fury and Wilder fought each other after having no luck getting Joshua in the ring, which is the reason Wilder can play spoiler now. The contractual obligation and the court’s decision should be no surprise. The only surprise is the long negotiation for a fight unlikely to happen given said contractual obligation. The agreement for Wilder to step aside should have been dealt with prior to any serious negotiations for a Joshua v Fury fight, lest the promoters just like being over a barrel (see Wilder’s demand$). Joshua could have made the fight with Fury any time he wanted prior to Wilder stepping in, but he didn’t. Talking trash now only looks like a guy jumping into the bouncers arms and yelling, hold me back. Not sure how anyone would conclude that guy actual wants to fight.
Of course they're part of the same team, but your implication was that Fury himself has purposely sabotaged things. He's just a fighter - he'd have very little to do with the legal case and terms of any contracts. You know that really also, just doesn't fit your agenda.
Maybe he needs to get a decent promotional team then because they have damaged him and his reputation. You think the Saudi’s will stump up cash for him again?
Agreed - I think he'd be better off elsewhere. Unfortunately for him, Matchroom already have the very marketable AJ so I can understand him not going there if he wouldn't be the main man. I think he and Hearn would've worked well together though in a strange way. It's clear from their interview the other week they quite like each other and have genuine chemistry.
Joshua is 100% on spot. When people on here will stop being a biased ........ ..... ........ ???? Eddie said that he was assured, that Wilder mediation won`t be a problem. Both Hearn and Frank Warren said its Bob Arum fault. Didn`t Arum himself didn`t say that Wilder doesn`t stand a leg ? Doesn`t he now say that the arbitration is a b.c. and preposterous ????? Doesn`t Fury say he move on and never ever will face Wilder again. Isn`t Fury a proven cheat already ? Joshua is 100% on point. Its all team Fury fault. And every single word that come from Arum and Fury is a 100% b.c and lies.
Because he didn't want to talk a lot until the fight was on thats why he kept saying "less talk, more action" or whatever corny line he kept saying. He's probably mad because he's wanted undisputed ever since he went pro. I know you don't like Aj but lets be real here, Fury talks a lot of ****. Aj probably wanted the fight badly
