This isn't like matchroom zero buzz for this fight, never thought wilder and fury would be the ones in the biggest spot light right now, crazy ****.
I'm buzzed for it. I'm also buzzed for fury wilder. There's room for both fights in y world so it's all good. Numbers wise I'm expecting Joshua to do better numbers than wilder. But the buzz is clearly with wilder fury. Truth is any mixture of those 4 fighters end up with the best group of fights the division can currently give us. But to those wanting to try mocking Joshua if wilder fury turns out as big or bigger than his own fight then laugh away but at the end of the day that is the ONLY fight either wilder or fury can be in that could trump a Joshua fight.
Problem is you have Fury and Wilder who are big personalities who can and will play off one another. With AJ v Povetkin you have a Russian who let's say they're not the most emotional of people and AJ who has as much personality as a wilted cabbage.
It doesn't have much of a buzz media wise. And boxing fans seems lukewarm to it which is weird considering it should be a high quality fight. That said it will do fine if not exceptional numbers and sell out a big stadium so those of you trying to act like this is about as anticipated as a Fat Mick leisure centre special need to give it a rest.
Povetkin is under a charisma embargo, Acts as if channeling a drugged Ivan Drago, Though at boxing he's skilled and opponents he's crushin, He'll send you to sleep when he starts talking Russian, Although for the purist this fight's got appeal, Fury and Wilder are funnier I feel, Whilst AJ and Povetkin may rake in more cash, They're not in the same league at talking that trash, So give the fat gypsy and Deontay their due, They know how to kick up a hullabaloo, (yeah it needs some work but I can't get any buzz about it...)
They haven’t sold out yet and it was announced more than a month ago. I’m sure it will sell out ... or if it’s close Eddie will paper the house with some freebies to make sure it looks full (I think they only charge like $20-25 for the cheap seats, same as they charge for PPV) ... but the fact is his past two fights sold out in hours. Not a good look.
