No it won't. Remember the difference in PPV Pricing structure and Vegas Site Payments. 300K US PPV Buys is equivalent to 1M UK PPV Buys. So in essence i predict Joshua-Povetkin to do around the 1M Mark in the UK. Then i expect Wilder-Fury to do around 300-500K in the US, when you add in Merchandise, International TV Rights, Vegas cache and influence. Wilder v Fury will eclipse Joshua v Povetkin by a decent distance
That's because people hated one or the other.......or both of them. I am not aware of either Joshua or Povetkin having a personality.
Your prediction is way off Im afraid. Come back to me after both respective fights have finished and the numbers have been released. AJ vs Parker just came out at 1.4 million buys in the UK.
I'm sure there will be more buzz closer to the event just like Clemelo and GGG.. There was far more buzz about AJ - Wilder tbh and we all know this is just a way for Wilder to try and get some more %%% split to an AJ fight without bending over for Hearn.... Plus this forum isn't the world..
I think this kind of fight builds close to the day on a perception that Povetkin is more of a genuine threat than Takam or even Parker. They should be talking up Povekins pro resume and even his amateur achievements. Just a pity it isn't a 35 year old Povekin.
Yes and Wilder-Fury only has to do around 400-500K to match that, because of the difference in pricing structure in PPV and Tickets. UK Fights is geared more towards chavs. Big Vegas Fights have a more corporate touch to it. Let's wait until both fights have done, if Wilder-Fury does well in the US, it will beat any of Joshua's fight by a margin. Because it has one key difference, US PPV Behind it. On the other hand it could bomb like Ward-Kovalev
So now you're defending the US PPV model because it prices out the 'Working fan' that the sport was built upon for years? What a disgrace of an opinion. Why you're defending Corporations over the average man is beyond me..... And exactly the reason why this sport is becoming less popular.
