Joshua’s been caught badly on 3 occasions 2 of them while trading with Whyte then Ruiz, the other was a clean straight right from Wlad which has KOd most of the fighters that have been hit by it.

He recovered well against Whyte, never recovered from Ruiz despite the following rounds and recovered well after Klitschko caught him.
Note, the Klitschko knock down was as much to do with the energy Joshua burned up in the 5th after he put Wlad down and went for the finish as it was with WKs power.

The Ruiz shot was different as it landed above/behind the ear and was more disorientating than concussive!

It would be interesting to see how other fighters would react to being hit by those same punches under the same conditions. I think all would be similarly effected with the exception of the Ruiz shot which was a bit of a freak.

    So is Joshua chinny?
I don’t think so, he suffers from fatigue when his output is high eg chasing Klitschko for the KO.
He also leaves himself vulnerable when trading close in eg Whyte, while most other HW boxers don’t get into the same kind of positions trading blows as Joshua does, Fury certainly doesn’t, neither does Wilder.

Verdict = Joshua has an average chin

Even a moderate concussion can hang around 2-3 weeks. Not to say you'll be hazy over that period but one decent shot and you'll have that migraine effect and pins and needles over your face.

I highly doubt they put him into a fight knowing he had one. But even quite a mild knock can leave you with the lingering effects.

Don't act like Fury has a great chin, his chin is average, his defense is one of the best P4P. Joshua was never knocked down as hard as fury was in his fight vs Wilder and let's remember AJ was caught by a trademark Wlad straight right. The only other time AJ was dropped was through a shot to the temple which caused his equilibrium to be distorted, his chin is better than Fury's and AJ gets caught flush a lot more than Fury.

With another ref on another day, Fury might have been counted out in the 12th against Wilder. I love Fury a lot, he is a star and makes HW boxing interesting and has gone through severe depression and managed to see the other side. However, some people act like he is untouchable in the boxing ring.

No I actually kind of begrudgingly respect fighters who continue to step foot in the Squared Circle even though they're packing glass up top. I think that's courageous. That being said, it still doesn't disgust me or make me hate them any less.

It's about average at this level. If he genuinely had a glass jaw, Wlad would have stopped him and probably Whyte and Povetkin too. If you're saying glass jaw then you're just a hater. I don't love the guy but he isn't packing glass.

He's fought more punchers amateur and pro than both Fury and that useless dosser from Tuscaloosa have combined.

Do you think that Bruno was similar in ways that you just described? He'd end up gassing, get caught then drop his arms.
I don't believe Frank's chin was glass, just below average. I see similar things in Joshua.
First fight with Tyson, Bruno was tagged and dropped in second s but he climbed back up to last till the fifth. Anyone with a total glass jaw would have being stopped in the first by Tyson there imo.

Joshua has a better than average chin, he just doesn't have confidence in it when getting hurt or good powers of recovery. But his chin is fine, if it wasn't he would not have got up from that Wlad knock down and come back to win by k.o!

Make that 4. It wasnt the klitchko knockdown that caused him to fatigue or tiredness from the fifth round either. He got caught by a left hook that very few people actually noticed think it might have been the 6th round. Carl froch mentioned it in the commentary. From there joshua struggles to recover. It depletes him for a good few rounds. Pretty sure it was a left hand counter hook from klitchko. But if you watch the 5th and 6th rounds closely you,ll see it.

His chin is fine. It's not amazing. But it's alright. Nothing much wrong with it

A little better then Frank’s..... but can anyone imagine AJ waking up from the shot Fury took in the first fight from Wilder. Imo he’d probably just be getting up now.

No he isn’t. If he was packing glass he wouldn’t have gotten up from that right hand Wlad landed. Clueless.

He got up from Wlad’s right hand. Wlad’s power was at a similar level to Wilders.
