Personally think it would be totally different fight then Ali had ever been in before. If you tried the rope adope s##t with Mike then you would be tasting canvas pretty fast.. Ali had a better skill set no question but Tyson was good at eating big shots and walking his man down. Brutal once he closed the gap, totally different styles but both legends in there own right
Mike has deference for Ali, wouldn't dare say he was better than the man even if he was. Same with Tyson Fury saying that, Fury knows Ali isn't nearly big or skilled enough to beat him but he also knows that being an Ali nuthugger is easier if you want to be loved by the casuals.
Ali was never TKod and fought some of the Heaviest Hitters we have seen in a Golden era....If a Prime George Foreman could not TKO a 32 year old Ali Tyson is certainly not doing it.......Ali takes Tyson to deep Water and drowns Him.!!!!
Had Ron Lyle schooled and knocked out Ali a la Buster Douglas we may have a discussion here. Also, Ali never had a panic attack and bit an opponent. On a slightly different note, I find it slightly distasteful that the OP is using the platform of a contest that could never happen to abuse the memory of someone who George Foreman called " The greatest man that ever laced on gloves ".
Lol No way, Too small at heavyweight, when the skill is on the same level, size give the edge. Prime ali (starts from the first Liston fight until his license was stripped.) was usually 210+~215. Prime Tyson(when he was with Kevin Rooney) was 210+~220, Similar weight. But massive difference in height .the much shorter Tyson was always easy to hold just ask james smith ,and smith is a bum compare to ali. when ali fought Frazier first time When Frazier was in his absolute prime yet a ringrust Ali who’s not nearly as athletic as the Ali in his prime and ali was fighting him he didn’t do much clinch Ali beat Frazier in the second fight convincingly and much easier when he did use much clinch . Besides Frazier had way way higher work rate than Tyson. some say stylistically crouching style or slick guys gives Ali trouble ,none sense. Ali beat liston and Patterson buster mathis easy, Norton gave ali trouble with his awkward style and Frazier gave ali trouble with his non stop pressure his extremely high work rate. It’s Tyson who had trouble with movers. Tyson always had problems with bigger skilled fighters who knows how to use their size ,who had good uppercut and jabs, who was not intimidated. Because Tyson was a small heavyweight and could only fight one way 、Tyson’ work rate was always intermittent 、and Tyson was emotional. Those three weakness was kinda exposed by James tillis and tony tucker during his prime ,tillis Tyson was a extremely close fight some say tillis was robbed Tyson was little inexperienced and tillis was Second tier , tony tucker hurt his right hand before the fight so he didn’t push Tyson back much and tucker had no jab . It is Douglas who fully exposed Tyson’s weakness and took him out, Tyson was not at his best but still during his prime years, n Douglas was not a top level fighter. Tyson’s power is not some kind of freakish power as some people make him out to be ,he hit pinklon Thomas who always like to put his chin in the air with loads of clean big punches in the first round and Thomas took them all in the first he didn’t push or hold on for dear life ,but when weaver caught him with one clean left hook Thomas couldn’t take it and immediately pushed weaver illegally; oliver McCall who sparred prime Tyson for years fought bruno Etc and he said that Bert cooper hit him the hardest by far in the sparring ,cooper also nearly took prime Holyfield out in the third round with a right hand ,Tyson hit Holyfield who was in his mid 30s knocked out by bowe previously ,had a hreat problem with clean combos but Holyfield was merely stunned. There is a difference between one good punch and a good deliver system , PLENTY of fighters hit extremely hard but most of them didn’t/don’t have the deliver system to always land their big punch clean.. And ali can fight different styles greatest fighters can fight different styles but Tyson can only fight one way and limited. Also prime Tyson’s head movement is overrated, his best spots were against second tier fighters and journey mans, prime Tyson was even getting touched by the likes of Trevor berbick ,James tillis timed Tyson multiple times, tony tucked countered Tyson multiple times even with straight shots. Ali vs Tyson in their prime this fantasy fight, it would be like better men’s version of Douglas Tyson. Simple as *. to beat ali at his best it has to be some one like prime Holmes or Lewis at his best or Tyson fury at his best. joshua is tripping,in fact Joshua is jealous of ali he obviously he heard people like teddy atlas said he’s like a poor man’s version of ali in the second Ruiz fight before that he was saying oh ali the greatest, what a phony, I see a big knockout loss coming
That's not really disproving my point Tyson LOVES Ali. Loved him so much that they weren't sure he was going to make it to the funeral. He took it that badly. He would never admit to being able to beat his idol This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Anyone can judge for themselves how Ali did not destroy Oscar, & Cosell was complaining about his lost skills much of the fight, as Ali often covered up to avoid being hurt: & you can see his QUOTE about how he was deeply hurt & a punch or two more would have finished him. Numerous accounts here: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=ali+vs+bonanvena Quarry he easily beat. I am glad you admitted the truth about FOTC, but know when you are accused of bias, using hyperbole & merely copying the accusation erodes your credibility. Also you merely repeated a premise absent any evidence re: that Ali never deserved to win even the first fight. More importantly: you have become abusive & nasty for no reason. You accused me of being biased; I rebutted them logically without cursing you out. People should have the decency & psychological security & ego strength to disagree without being vicious. I believe in being honest, so I reported you, & here is the transcript. If you want stay here, I suggest you not be malicious & hateful. This kind of thing is decried as terrible for the happiness & civility of websites & communities like this. It is just easier to do it online, without someone in front of you-but very wrong. I wrote: "This guy started becoming abusive-completely-unprovoked- when we had a simple disagreement, writing multiple curses such as to f%#k off. This kind of vicious infantile abuse really damages the Peace & Good will of this website. Especially in a time of Fear & uncertainty, such unbrave, anonymous hate should be prevented". Now I did not ask for you to be banned even temporarily-yet. If you have some reserves of maturity instead of just mindless anger & defensiveness-& class-you will apologize & I will accept it. That would show decency & cojones. Or you can ignore this & just stop being abusive & remain here. Not as admirable, but I will bear no grudge. Or you can listen to your inner rage & irrationally feel attacked or the victimwhen you were the offender, lash out & end up gone. I hope you choose the route of Human Decency & self-interest. We should not tolerate anymore destruction of this great forum.
If Tyson could not stop Ali in the first 6 -7 rounds then the former would be in serious troubles in the late rounds. Holyfield used holding and hugging to frustrate Tyson and after Tyson was exhausted then Holyfield knocked out him in the late round. Ali could do this to Tyson too since he did it to Foreman in 1973.
Hes way to emotional about Ali to ever give a level balanced assessment...Mike, how would Muhammad do against the American Air Force ?? (laughs) Maaaaaan, he was the greatest, he was just so so special..You seen his soul man, it couldn't be broken, you have to go with Muhammad. And the rest of America nod their head in agreement !
AJ is right for a change. If Frazier can drop Ali, Tyson would finish him, probably the way he did Holmes. Ali cultists will pretend his magical skills would win the day. What's Ali going to do? Would his power intimidate Tyson? No. Is he faster than Tyson? No. Is his defence better? No. Is he a modern super HW 6'5+? No. Can he just dance around pot-shotting and avoid Tyson for 12 rounds? No. He gets lit up and smashed to pieces. Tyson would absolutely shut Ali's mouth for good, before offering a completely nonsensical pseudo-philosophical post fight monologue, then trying to **** his trainer's niece at the post fight party.
