AJ was asked whether he is going to knock Povetkin out and he said maybe, but he might not try to hard to look for it, does this mean an easy points win for AJ instead?

Not surprising. He's been working on his boxing rather than mixing it up and he'll likely have more than one strategy to win. Personally I hope Povetkin forces him into a fire fight and we see some fireworks.

He might get knocked out himself if he tries fishing for something that isn't there. Smart by Joshua.

Povetkin is definitely looking for the KO vs Joshua so the bodybuilder better be ready.

Lol looks like that Knock Down against Klitshko affected him mentally. This defensive safety first approach is going to hurt him against Wilder who will not hesitate to throw the Kitchen Sink the moment he has his opponent hurt.

That's a good strategy. He shouldn't slug with Povetkin, or he might be the one getting knocked out. He needs to keep Povetkin on the end of his jab.

This won't go the distance. It's going to be a shoot out. If Joshua tries to cruise he will get KO'd. That said I think he's bluffing.

Yeah Joshua has been a different fighter since the Klitschko fight no question. But this fight I think will being the fog in him back out.

as a market trader i always look at the weather for friday/sat /sundays all days i trade
since im not that far away i noticed that sat evening is going to be very high probabilty of rain

i know the stadium fans will be fine but the pitch seats will be drenched .

trouble with holding this fight so late in the year at wembley

at least it will not be as windy / ive got 50mph winds to stall out in in the morning

cardiff would have made much more sense for a late september fight or they should have had it in august.

He's going to fight like a coward the same way he fought both Takam and Parker. That's how he's been training

Jab, hold, jab hold and the matchroom referee will not hesitate to warn Povetkin when he attempts to throw a punch on the inside

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. The aim is to win the fights and retain his belts, whether that be via knockout or a decision. I think Joshua feels the pressure to finish Povetkin in style if possible, but not at the expense of risking his titles. If the knockout is there to be taken, I believe we'll see it. Also, with 20 stoppages in 21 fights we can hardly complain about a lack of exciting boxing from him anyway!

So we can expect ANOTHER boring AJ fight, Takam, Parker dont make it 3 in a row ffs, actually go in there to get a KO and not cruise to a points win behind a jab

This is why Mike Tyson et al were so much better, never would you see Tyson try and cruise to a points victory because his opponent may clip him

Tyson and Joshua have completely different styles.

Why should Joshua slug it out, which would play into Povetkin's hands?

Not slug it out as such but dont put us through another borefest

Hes got the height, reach, weight and youth advantage here , probably speed and power too, hes in front of his own fans in a stadium, he should put it on Povetkin

Hes got people filling up Wembly and a million paying on PPV, no one wants to see him cruise to victory

The thing with AJ is he gets stood up on his own shows, often undercard fights save the day for the show

Its more than that imo...I think hes been humbled behind closed doors in training(sparked)..I heard a dustpan and brush was bought at Wilko's by Rob McCracken recently...He's packing guaranteed. The change isn't natural, you don't change if its not broken, and its more than just Wlad dropping him
