what do y’all think, stoppage too soon or was it a good storage? I think Joshua could of continued. He spit out his mouthpiece and tried to stall to try and buy time and it backfired on him. Thoughts?
He had more than enough time, far too much Got up at 8 , turned his back on the ref , wandered to the corner and leaned up against the ropes. Must have been a good 20 seconds before the ref called it off.
If that was the very first KD and AJ had been doing fine until then, then perhaps. But it wasn't. AJ was getting the stuffing beat out of him. Completely outboxed. Knocked down 4 times. AJ was on the verge of getting KTFO and he knew it. All he could do was try to make the stoppage look controversial. He had been KDd and knew what he was supposed to do all those times. All those other times, he obeyed the ref. But this time, he walked away, disregarded the ref, and lay on the ropes. He chose to do that. AJ abused the system really. He should've been forced to be more explicit in quitting.
It frankly looked like AJ quit. He wasn't obeying the ref. Correct stoppage. I'd like to think he was concussed and confused, or just trying to buy time and hoping he wouldn't get called out for it. But it sure looked like he quit.
physically perhaps. but mentally, hell no. he wanted out, he was beaten. he was lucky the ref picked up on him quitting.
In this video footage evidence show me where AJ refused to listen to the referee: This content is protected I AM WAITING.
He quit, plain and simple. When the going got tough, he tried using his super stardom to buy some time, but this is a fight. Either you wanna fight or don't, and that man simply didn't want to fight. He QUIT!!!
He tried to buy some extra time to recover and it didnt work out so well. Others done it before and got lucky may be with patient referee but this one has had enough and decided that AJ had enough and is quitting. The truth ? AJ was gassed badly. He was done for. Sometimes i wonder is this guy that badly hurt or he just has very serious stamina issues? Cannot decide for myself really is it poor chin or poor stamina or both ?
He turned around, walked away from the ref... spat out his gum shield and refused to lift his arms away from the ropes. He quit.
Correct stoppage and one that has done him a favour really. The way he was looking it was a matter of time before he got knocked out properly and that could of had a devastating effect on any comeback hopes
Says not available in my country, but it was ~1m50s to go in R7 and AJ turned around and walked away as the ref yelled at him not to do that. Loser.
He said he wanted to continue but his body was slumping back on the ropes, tapping out ...no more smoke!
Show me the video clip then??????????? Go ON I'll wait. On my footage, he was on the ropes looking at the referee, and the referee was still counting then waved it off, after AJ said yes three times. Don't lie to the forum.
