You think the 'focusing on my boxing IQ' is the best way for him moving forward? I think he needs to get some of that killer instinct back. Seems to have lost it since he got too complacent in the first Ruiz fight.
if AJ Wilder gets made both are going to stiffen up and freeze. Skills and IQ are irrelevant. Wilder will be backfoot super defensive whilst AJ will pretend to close the distance but not get near... Then Wilder will explode with a right hand and land it, probably not hurting AJ but will let AJ calm down and get to work accepting he is going to get hit. Then it's a question of who lands their power first.
I expect to see AJ fight like he did in the Ruiz rematch. I also expect him to look shook in the ring after the opening bell. Perhaps he will be able to settle in to the fight and win, but his mental strength (or lack of it) will determine how this fight goes and, who wins imo.
