Usyk has fought more punchers than anyone and none of them could drop him. He's packing iron. If AJ hit The Dosser with 25% of the flush shots Belly did The Dosser would have that body on his resume he's been yearning for - his own. This content is protected
Considering the way that Wilder handled Luis Ortiz I pick Wilder to dominate AJ before koing him in the 6th.
How about this: AJ, knowing that he has nothing left, considers who he is able to get in the ring that will make him the most money and decides on Wilder. Dives almost immediately. Just kidding, don't really know who to pick here. Before the Franklin fight, I picked AJ over Wilder, but Joshua looked terrible and fat. Toss-up. Edit: if AJ comes in heavy again, he's definitely gonna dive.
Obviously I'd wanna watch but not like a few years back when this was a BIG fight. Think Wilder wins now as Joshua will stand mid range trying to box him and get caught. Although I'd pick a more aggressive Joshua to finish Wilder early, like what Fury realised, Wilder doesn't do well off the backfoot
Kudos to AJ for having the guts to take such a dangerous fight while his future career looks questionable. Yes, we should have gotten this fight 5 years ago, but at least it's happening before both fighters are too old. I'm gonna go with Wilder by KO. He hits harder than Ruiz and he'll take advantage of AJ's timidness. What I am wondering though, is if either of them will have a fight before december?
Yup but Wilder is 6'7" with an 83 inch reach not an obese much shorter fighter. AJ can only avoid that right hand for so long and we know how he reacts to getting hit. Look at how many times Fury got hit/dropped despite being a much slicker boxer than AJ.
It's crazy that so many people forgot that Wilder and Joshua could have fought twice for the undisputed heavyweight championship in 2019 but they decided to " marinate " the fight a bit longer, instead now that they have nothing to lose we have a guy who lost to Fury three times and Joshua who is half the fighter he was before Ruiz. And to make it worse Fury might still duck Usyk in December even if they offer him $400 million, he'll come up with some stupid excuse. Do people really care about Wilder fighting Joshua right now? Who cares who wins it doesn't mean anything anymore, and if Usyk and Fury do fight in December it will most likely not be for the undisputed heavyweight championship because Usyk will let go of the IBF belt because Hrgovic is next for Usyk if he gets passed Dubois. Fury screwed everything up again.
