Just caught the backend of an advert on the radio advertising that tickets are still available for Saturday night.

Not heard that before for any AJ fight.

probably sold, people just selling on init.

even charities sell them on as prizes. doesn't mean they haven't been bought.

either way, boring mandatory, casuals dont know provetkin and its a funny month September, its neither here nor there lol.

Crazy really, this is probably his hardest ever fight. He might not be in his prime anymore but he showed against Price that he’s still dangerous on the inside and can beat the bigger, less mobile fighter to the punch. If AJ puts him away, he just beat an old ‘past it’ fighter. He can’t win in a way.

Even if 80k sold then 10k is a lot of tickets to shift. It’s more than the copper box, echo arena, etc.

What's going to be REALLY funny is all the hearns haters/fish eye suckers coming on here acting like they have won the world Cup if there's "only" 70-80,000 on attendance for this fight when Frank in his wildest dreams couldn't shift that if he put his whole roster on one show

On the more serious side, Eddie has dropped the ball on promoting this one, it's been a very quiet build up so the 70-80,000 sold is purely on AJ'S name alone

It doesn’t help that Povetkin can’t speak English and no-one in the UK outside of hardcore fans really knows who he is...

Not to mention the stadium fights used to be a novelty...not so anymore...

I would guess about 45,000-55,000 paid in there. Think of two o2 arenas selling out but nothing more imo.

Still not bad all things considered, but I reckon 80,000 is complete fabrication.

AJ's last two fights were boring. He didn't get the KO punches his fans crave and while he boxed smartly, he didn't exhibit slick skills that someone like Fury does. A night out at the boxing isn't cheap. Perhaps the appeal has withered a little. The PPV numbers will be interesting.

If AJ is to continue boxing as he did the last two fights, he'll need big name opponents to sell out the likes of Wembley.

I think a lot of people are waiting for the Wilder fight and have decided to give this fight a miss.

Hearn will still be making good money even at 60k sold. The bus package thing is down to restrictions from the Mayor’s Office in restricting the amount of footfall in the local area before/after the fight I’d imagine.
