On Sky Sports now, AJ is talking about fighting the Fury's and is quoted as saying "I see the demand that people want to see me fight Tyson Fury at some stage, but I'll do it one Fury at a time" That to me sounds like he plans on fighting Hughie soon, I never really registered Hughie as a soon-to-be opponent of AJ's. Something Tyson Fury recently said about lambs and slaughter springs to mind though... http://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/10250715/aj-ill-help-fury-lose-weight
very very dangerous fight for AJ. while hughie right now is very green and young and hasnt physically developed, he possesses potentially one of the best defenses in the heavyweight division and some of the best movement would be joshuas hardest test to date and he will find it very difficult to land clean on hughie. id love to see this fight , i think its a 50-50 fight
Hughie will not be taking on AJ. AJ will be offered Tyson Fury or nothing, assuming he beats Wlad in the rematch
Martin was a world title holder... Hughie is on the fringes of the top five in the UK; Joshua, the world. 'Zingers' only work if they make sense and cannot be deconstructed in two sentences... Anyway, welcome to the board!
Hughie Fury would be a very difficult fight for AJ in my opinion. He's got good movement and won't be walking on to any big right handers like previous AJ opponents. It'll be very difficult to get on the inside which is what AJ would have to do.
I think Hughie is a good boxer and will become much better with time, but I think AJ blasts him out of there. It's not like it's the first time AH has ever fought someone with movement in his life and we know nothing about Hughie's chin
When has aj fought someone with movement? Last time i remember facing someone with movement was erislandy savon
To be fair mate, we don't know too much about Joshua's either. He took a big hit from Whyte which wobbled him but apart from that, who else has landed sweet on him?
I dont think this fight will happen but would love to see it. Hughie would really put aj to the test. White, except for rds1 n 7 was competative with aj. Hughie would fair even better
Aye it wobbled him but he recovered fairly well. It was a counter he didn't see coming as well, I think that'd have put a lot of fellas down. Whilst he has yet to 'prove' it, Whyte seems to me like he does have a powerful shot on him. Hughie looks fairly soft handed to me so far anyway
He might have been a belt holder but Martin is no better than Dillian Whyte. Who himself is around the same level, presently, as Hughie Fury. No zingers, just facts. Hughie v AJ would be an early crossroads fight.
Recovered well? He looked stiff and shaken for at least 2 rounds after. Don't know how much whytes shoulder effected him but anyone clinical would of put aj to sleep
