There is a LOT more to do in Vegas besides watch a fight. And in Wales? Not so much. Plus nobody wants to see Fury-Wilder III because there is little drama involved whereas AJ-Usyk looks to be more competitive.
What Wales got to do with a fight that's being held in London? And I'm sure you're aware there's a hell of a lot to do in London.
The promoters are idiots thinking people wanted to see Fury v Wilder again. It didn't take a genius to see that they would struggle to sell this fight.
Oops...sorry I thought the fight was in Wales, where AJ had a previous fight. I lived in London for a couple years; have done business there since 1989; have two English grandsons! Both whiter than white, didn't take after my daughter or me.
Fury faking Covid, will only make the ticket sales even worse. This is what Wilder and Fury get for fighting bums for most of their careers. They never really tested themselves so people lost interest quickly. Meanwhile AJ fought unification fights, mandatories and fought most of the top 10 so people are invested in his fights. And it shows. Had Fury fought more than 4 of the current top 50, then more fight fans would get behind him and show up to see him fight. But no one wants to see him fight Seferi, Wallin, Schwartz, etc.
That's true though I doubt Joshua would ever be in a position where he's clearly lost twice and needs to force a 3rd fight because he has no other options like Wilder. He could lose his next 2 fights decisively to Usyk and he'd still be a PPV draw in the UK against anyone decent or even half decent.
