Frank Bruno sold 40,000+ tickets on multiple occasions against various opponents in the UK. I don't believe Mike Tyson ever sold more than 21,000 tickets for a fight - that was for the Spinks fight only. I believe Tyson-Lewis sold 15,000 tickets. Neither Tyson-Holyfield fight cracked 17,000 tickets. When discussing those fights decades later, who talks about the attendance figures? When ranking Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Holyfield historically, nobody says "BUT FRANK BRUNO sold twice as many tickets in the UK as they did in the States." (LOL) At this point in their careers, if all Joshua fans can hold on to is he sells more tickets than in the UK, great. Fury and Wilder are fighting for the World Title. That's what people remember.
AJ is fighting an undefeated, former undesired champ in his backyard. Fury is fighting a guy he’s already beaten twice, in a third fight no one (aside from Wilder and his lawyers) wanted to see. And ticket prices are probably much higher than the prices in England. The second Fury-Wilder fight wasn’t even competitive. If Fury and Usyk both win, the fight will be much bigger than Wilder Usyk. If AJ wins, the Fury-AJ showdown will be one of the biggest fights of the decade. I am a Usyk fan and hope he beats AJ but the prospect of a Fury-AJ fight in England is very exciting. It’s a good fight in the US as well but I really hope they fight in England if it happens. The atmosphere will be insane and the place will erupt when Furn knocks him out.
