No point trying to reason with that freak. His missus must've ran away with a 'pikey' or something. Complete obsessive lunatic!

Running away from a little fat pudding for 12 rounds is not impressive - embarrassing to say the least watching that on my 100% discounted Box Office subscription

    Tbf he never had too.

Sold out arenas and stadiums in Germany, he was the champion it’s up to him where he defends.

fair enough if that’s how you see it. I was impressed personally, how he stuck to a game plan I didn’t think he was capable of doing for 12 rounds. I guess you could say he ran but it’s not like he wasn’t landing anything in the process. Where do the terms running and tactical come in for a performance like that?

I can see why people would be disappointed though, avenging KO loss with a KO would have been better, more emphatic. But I cut some slack on that, it was high a pressure everything riding on it and he didn’t know what Ruiz was turning up. If he fought Ruiz again I’d hope he would attack more and force a stoppage.

snd yeah it was a rip off but that’s boxing isn’t it, everything is. people have paid for worse events than that. I didn’t pay but if I did I don’t think I would have felt that ripped off personally, I enjoyed the fight for what it was.

AJ’s performance here is taking a lot of stick, I’ve seen far worse.

I expected him to come out and make a big statement as would have all those PPV Mugths being fleeced £24.99. That on Sat is the most disappointing fight on a level with Wlad v Haye - huge build ups and a pile of tripe followed.

come on though, when you pay for something like that it’s the risk you take, you are not always going to be satisfied. I done it many times, felt I been fleeced.

I was a bit disappointed that Ruiz didn’t go out there with the same passion he did in the first fight, you have to blame him as well. AJ did kind of make a statement, he reinvented himself in a way a lot of heavyweights couldn’t. He said he was going to win the fight from day one when others said he had no chance, and he did. He just didn’t to it in a way you preferred. I would have liked a KO as well but can still appreciate what he did.

depends what he does now I guess.

edit - oh yeah I paid for Wlad v haye, now that was disappointing!

At the end of the day he got the win and that was the most important part. He didn't run let's be honest, there was a few occasions where he landed a big shot and kinda went for it but had the sense to compose himself as that's what got him in trouble the first fight.

    That is the issue mate.

When people are being fleeced an extra £25 Box Office money, it really needs to deliver Box Office entertainment.

Nearly all of Sky Box Office headline bouts have been absolute stinkers with only a few exceptions. Most of us on here knew in advance that many of these fights were never Box Office and should have been on Sly Sports on a Friday/Saturday evening.

The sad thing is these PPv mugths keep coming back for a good poking time and again.

I was there mate in Hamburg and was absolutely fleeced along with 15,000 Brits who travelled.

Never have I felt so let down and taking in by a conman - never again.

I can’t disagree, there have been I few events I not watched because of this, they are just not PPV worthy. The big ones I usually take the risk but yeah they are over priced, it is wrong. How AJ chose to win is something I don’t connect with that though, he chose a game plan, it was down to Ruiz to disrupt it, it couldn’t. So you can’t blame AJ entirely for feeling ripped off.
